I know most teams like to say they are fightin' fit for the new season but, we as fans can always pick out our team's weakness. What is the biggest weakness your team has?

My 49ers are hurting a lot due to inexperience. I know the line is a big question mark but, they picked up a lot of guys in the draft that can help the team as a whole, but all of them lack experience and nobody knows for sure how well they will do. The Niners are a just a big one of these right now ?, and it's mainly due to lack of experience.

my jaguars running game is a complete question mark this year for them who knows if fred taylor can stay healthy and greg jones is a 3rd down back even though he is a good rb.

The Steelers' weakness right now is who is going to step into Jerome Bettis' short yardage duties and losing key leadership guys in the locker-room. We shall see as the season unfolds, who steps up their play.

I definately agree with the O-line although the addition of rookie Pat McQuistan (who is a beast at 6-6 & 315) will hopefully help, but then again he is a rookie. Pettiti needs to step up big time and really show that he is as good as what I have heard. Also getting Kyle Kosier in the offseason will help a bit. He adds some game experience as he has only missed 1 game over the last 4 years. I really wish that Larry Allen wouldnt have been hurt so much and I think if he is healthy will make a good player for some team.

My other concern is more at linebacker than FS as with the retirement/injury situation with Dat Ngyuen (sp?) it leaves the linebackers without a leader.

Bradie James Steped u big time last year and we got Demarcus Ware and picking up Akin Ayodele was huge he is a very underrrated LBplus we drafted Bobby Carpenter so the only concern i have there is experience, but yeah there is no leader in the front seven since Lario and Nguyen left but i think Bradie James is gonna be a good LB and Demarcus Ware alreadys showed he was. So i think we will be fine.

I agree, Cowboys are fine at LB, although a little inexperienced.  And you both hit it on the head by saying the o-line is the big question.  I'm hoping Jason Fabini can come in and still be good.

Since you two have the Cowboys pegged, I'll comment on the Texans.  Again, o-line is a problem.  They have Mike Flanagan now, so that could help.  Defense for the most part is an issue, too.  The defensive line has the ability to be good IMO, but we have no DBs.  Linebackers may struggle, too.  But in the coming years, look out for Jason Babin, DeMeco Ryans, and Mario Williams to be a great defensive trio.  Mark my words.

Im going to havge tpo say the secondary. Getting rid of Bryan Scott and Keion Carpenter in the off-season has killed them. and the kicker. I mean they have 2 ROOKIES. battling out.

For the Colts I would say our Safeties.  We got burned a couple of times against the Steelers that cost us huge.   I don't think our running game will be hurt to much without Edge.  Rhodes had over 1,000 yards in a shorter season when Edge went down with his hyperextended knee.  Plus we can save him with Addai.  Another huge weakness would be our kickoffs. My friends and I would take bets if anyone could kick in the endzone.  I think we reached the endzone once all season.

So true, and then they brought in that bartender that could kick farther than Sanders.  Sherman was the worst GM in the history of the franchise.

Colts weakness would be the kicker.  Vinateri is good for like 20yds but now that means we need a kickoff guy.  Losing Edge is a big loss but won't weaken us.  Secondary needs some work but overall we should do well this year.

by the way, does anyone know how much Vanderjagt got paid to miss that fieldgoal in the AFC champ?

vinateri is or is one of the most clutch kickers of all time.  How can you say he is bad after what vanderjact did to the colts in the playoffs last year.

I would not agree with that.  Vinatari is solid.  When we are kicking field goals we are always around the 30 yard line anyway. Our kickoffs suck.  We could use a good returner.  I believe Rhodes fumbled like four time last year on kickoff returns.

It wasn't just Vanderjerk, we had other problems too.  Doss getting burned a couple times, Glenn going offsides, Manning interception all of these didn't help outr situation.  Or what about throwing the ball on 2nd, and 3rd and short.......not good play calling.  Edge was non-existant in the second half of that game.

I know Vanderjagt missed a few BIG field goals, but you guys act like he isnt any good.  He is actually the most accurate kicker in NFL history right now.  I for one am glad Dallas got him.

all I am saying is that Vinteri is only popular cause he made a couple easy kicks at the right time.  Kinda like Joe Montana-his longest pass was like a 5 yard slant to Rice who ran like 80 yds for a TD.  But Joe got the credit.

No offence to Montana fans.

My point is, I would rather have Vanderjagt than Vinateri anyday.

He is the most accurate kicker.  But the thing you have to look at is that he has been kicking indoors his entire career.  When he gets outside he is not as accurate.  He is still a great kicker, and a lot better than what Dallas had.

I always hate that indoor/outdoor argument.  Teams play 8 home games and 8 road games.  They play indoor and outdoor.  He played at WVU, thats outdoors, he played for Indy, thats indoor, he played games on the road, thats indoor and outdoor.  He is a good kicker who just happened to miss a REALLY big kick. (BADLY I might add).

after cutting anderson, i'm not sure who will run for the broncos, but we're always a good running team, so i'm not so worried.  my biggest concern is jake plummer.  will we get last year's jake, or the old jake?  hopefully knowing he's got his replacement on the bench will give us last year's jake or better.  walker helps us at wr and hopefully we get something for lelie whenever he gets traded.

hopefully after last season, we'll get that same home-field advantage we had at the old mile high
