Every game, every show, they find a way to bring Reggie in. He's the most overhyped player in NFL history, they are already calling him the "next Barry Sanders or Gale Sayers", which no rookie should ever be compared to. They are the greats, another example would be a WR being called the "next Jerry", thats just not right. All ready they are saying Reggie is rookie of the year and will be the only starting RB by week 4, as if Deuce was a marginal player. Even in the Panther/Dolphin game, they say, "Can Deangelo give Reggie Bush a run for his money in RotY?". No matter what sports channel I tune into, what sports game I will hear about Reggie Bush. Can't the media jush shut up and let Reggie prove himself on the field? NOTE TO GEAUX: If you have read this post, you will realize this is not attacking Reggie at all, just a rant about the media

They were talking about him more when he was a sure #1 pick, but the media is pretty much ESPN. They do these kinds of things if you haven't noticed. Like all the coverage of Woods and Mickelson which I don't understand, I never knew when golf was considered such a great sport.

Have you ever played golf?  Golf is probably the most mental sport out there (IMO).  To concentrate that hard for four to six hours staight can be hard.  Not only that you are competing with over 200 individuals.  You have no one to rely on, but yourself.  MAybe it is just because I am a sport fan in genral, that I can see why it is a great sport.  I kinda felt the same way about Nascar racing at one time, until I got to race european go karts (karts went 80 mph) on a regular basis.  There is a lot more athleticism involved to the naked eye.

I don't think I ever heard "Jordan of Football".  They do expect him do be a top play maker though.

I have a feeling we won't be hearing too much about VY, he'll be putting up some horrible numbers coming off the bench.

with no run support and not a true number 1 receiver, yes.

And the fact he doesn't know how to play the Quarterback position very well yet. In time he should develop into a nice NFL QB.

I'm in Houston, and it seems like every day UT Homers call the local stations to complain about the Texans not picking up VY with the #1. I'm ok with a little healthy debate about Reggie Bush v. Mario Williams, because VY and RB meeting up twice a year would be great for what will eventually be a great rivalry. Let's face it, Reggie is pretty amazing, and will prove to be a truly versatile NFL player. Vince Young on the other hand, may find his place in the annals of Ultimate Frisbee unless he fixes his mechanics.

They just used a high pick on Lendale White.  Taking another RB would be a big mistake.  O-line would be best.

And I do find it interesting that the Bush talk has slowed down now that season is about to start up.
