It's a good idea because it's the only move right now that would benefit him professionally. For one, it shows that he does still want to play football. Secondly, his stock won't fall as far when he does return to the NFL. Instead of taking another year off, he stays in good football shape. A team will want him when he gets back.wallymartin
You don't think the Dolphins will keep him?

Well they might. They're not gonna get much out of him trade-wise(though his time in the CFL may help that) and they won't have to pay him a whole lot. They don't need him, but yeah, it's very possible.
[QUOTE="EscoDaddy14"]I do agree they can get by without him, but why should they? Having someone of his caliber at a low salary is an amazing deal. Ronnie Brown only posted 900 yds last season, and no doubt he could be a 1100-1200 yrd rusher, but why when you get a Heisman who can still deliver? geaux321
Yeah, you don't know if he'd rather run for 1000 yards and make money or smoke pot on a deserted island.

People in the NFL are willing to spend more money on bigger risks just look at joey harrington or antonio cromartie who has been injured for the past two years, the biggest reason the dolphins wouldnt want him back is because of the bad publicity and the disruption in the locker not because of wasted money
They finished 9-7 when he was there, and like what 3-13 when he wasn't, so Id keep himEscoDaddy14
The difference in wins wasnt because of the return of Rickywilliams, it was because of the emergance of chris chambers and because of ronnie brown instead of the running backs we ahd the year before. I bet you cant even name any of the running bakc we ahd in the 4-12 season
