Chips and Salsa tho.Â
*goes to party*Had he signed a month ago, I wouldn't have an issue with this. But this is really an ******* move by Favre. Jackson and Rosenfels have been working their asses off through training camp to win the job, all for nothing. Favre comes in at the last minute and steals it from them. No work required.
I will still be calling him one of my favorites, but seriously dude, **** you.

Yeah but its typical of Favre. Hell, he probably planned it this way all along.

Could he have handled the whole retire/not retired scenario better? H*** YES!!
Do I feel bad for Tarvaris and Sage? H*** NO!!

I'll be there. We should find Brett and have him have an 'accident' and 'accidentally' break his arm so he stays retired for good. Who's with me?
He knew he was going to sign the entire time, just didn't want to put in the time in training camp. Don't really think he'll have a huge impact on the NFC North, you need to be in camp developing chemistry with your receiving corps to really put together a good passing attack.

My sentiments exactly. Although i will turn ESPN back on when T-Jackson takes back the starting spot by the end of the year. I think Farve will be that bad.

Do you have Korskov's syndrome? Â T. Jack got beat out by Gus Ferrotte last year. Â If you are going to claim someone else taking the starting spot at least make it Sage Rosenfal or John David Booty. Â In the end there still is a reason that Favre is in MN, its bc/ those QB's are terrible. Â Childress probably figures his job is on the line this year as it is and most likely get fired if Favre is or isn't his QB.
What I don't get is you guys all claim to be sick of hearing about Favre, but yet you continue to talk about him. Â I didn't even know he came back until this week. Â Though I don't watch TV, so that might be why.Â

Actually, T-Jackson played really well at the end of the year with 9td to 2int. Farve is 40 and looks aweful. I think he will start decent and self-destruct as usual. If anyone actually expects him to lead them to a SB they are crazy. At least T-Jackson has some room to grow and looks to be improving. Farve is just plain bad and won't get any better.[QUOTE="favre4thewin"][QUOTE="maheo30"][QUOTE="CommanderShiro"]:| ...... That was my facial expression when I turned onto ESPN. Jack has the ability to run, that is the only thing that he can beat the other QB's on the roster at. Â Lets say Favre didn't show up to camp, I would assume that Sage would be the starter. Â I'll be honest here, outside of Madden, I don't think the ability to run fast is an ability that coaches should care about (sparing the any option offense).
T. Jack isn't the worst QB on a roster in the NFL, but by no means will he be a starter. Â He isn't developing fast enough, and Childress would have been out of a job this year if he hadn't switched to Gus.Â
Can Favre carry the Vikes, no. Â Does Favre have to carry the Vikes, no. Â AP will still carry the purple ppl, but I think Favre can help a little. Â 15-20 passes a game maybe. Â I think he can be a circa 2000 Trent Dilfer next year. Â In the end we'll see if the shoulder can hold up. Â I think if he is smart and the Vikes make the playoffs, he should sit 1-2 games and come in fresh. Â
With or without Favre, I still think Childress is one of the coaches who are on the hot seat. Â I think Reid probably is too. Â Reid got a lot of new toys this year. Â There is no excuse for the Eags to not be a top team.
I am still going to stick with my boys for next season. Â I think Capers is going to band aide the GB def enough and Rodgers out plays all the other QB's in the NFC North.Â

Actually T-Jackson was playing better than Sage from what I have watched. Sage is nothing more than a journeyman back-up. T-Jackson has shown flashes of being really good. Although I agree about the QB's running the ball thing. It is way overvalued in the NFL. Brady, Manning, Palmer, Brees, or Ryan don't exactly run around much and they are the best in the league.
I think Childress will be out of a job anyway unless T-Jackson suddenly develops into a quality starter which isn't likely to happen. I just think he is there only hope. I'm not trying to dump on your guy (I assume you are a Farve fan) I just think his body has finally had it. Although him winning a SB then retiring woul be a good story.
I wish GB good luck and hope your team has a great year. Just not as good a year as my Titans. :D

Favre used to be my guy, now he's Childress's guy.  I def agree that  its a do or die season for Childress regardless who's under center.  T-Jack played ok at the end of the year, excluding playoffs.  I am just not big on him.  As far as scrambling goes, you are talking to a guy who told an Falcons scout at practice that they traded the best QB on their team to Houston (about 3 years ago know, way back when I worked in 1-aa).
I think the Pack will squeak into the playoffs. Â I still think Rodgers is going to be the best QB in the NFC North. Â If Favre is smart and serious about winning, he'll sit when he needs too this year. Â If he doesn't do that and he needs a game off it is his own fault. Â If you wanted to pick the QB of the future for MN I would say JD Booty, or possibly someone from this years draft...who knows, once Childress is fired it could be anyone.

I thought the same thing about Shaub. Too bad he can't stay healthy because he is a good QB.Please Log In to post.
