I won't be upgrading, but I will be getting the XL on launch day. I'm excited :)
If i can fit my reglur Action Replay DS in it, then yes. I have a DS lite and at Bestbuy you can trade in your DS lite for one and my DS lite has screen flickerings when i flip it open.
Not me. I have a perfectly working DS Lite I can use. If I wanted a DSi I would be getting a normal DSi.
Not me... can't really justify buying a new DS this late in the generation and when my Lite works fine.
This. Don't wanna waste my paycheck just for big screens =(Not me... can't really justify buying a new DS this late in the generation and when my Lite works fine.

No I already have a DSi and the only thing that is different between the DSi and DSiXL is the larger screen.
Not right away.
I have a hard time supporting these reincarnations of the exact same console every 6 months.
Does it play GBA games?
Unless you do have trouble reading on your DS/DSi screen, there's seriously no point in getting a DSi XL, there's not much change in the hardware apart from that it's bigger.
It'll be a bit harder to carry around as well, so what would really be the point?

The DSi XL isn't for taking with you everywhere you go. It's for those who play their handheld games mostly at home (such as myself).

Agreed. My handhelds rarely get used outside my bed!
I think it'll be really nice for the FPS games on the system. I'm looking forward to a little new life on my old titles via the larger screens, from that respect. Also, I never went to a DSi from my Lite (which I hung onto for the GBA slot), so the "upgrade" to DSi format as well as larger screens for my FPS games and other stuff like "Dementium", "Resident Evil: Deadly Silence", & "Race Driver: Create & Race" will be cool on the larger system.
Who is honestly going to get the DSi XL now that we know the next DS is coming before March 2011? I don't mind - actually it saves me some money in the long run - but it's a strange move by Nintendo.
Lol Nintendo are getting worse than Apple now.. there DSiXL isnt even out yet and they have already announced the next in line
I was going to... until the 3DS was announced. Now I'm just going to stick with my DS Lite until that's released..

With that mentality, buying any piece of technology right now would be pointless as a new model of it (or something better) will be released soon after anyways. Look at the ipod for example, or basically any new TV. Also a lot of people will not be buying the 3DS at launch, and personally imo it's not worth it to do so considering the large price tag that it's going to carry (which it inevitably will), along with the fact that it's library of games are going to just be gimmicky and dumb. I do plan on getting the 3DS, but honestly not until MUCH later, maybe even spring of 2012, giving me much time with my new DSi, and I'm sure there's a LOT of other people that feel this way as well.
I'm not. I'm going to stick with my DS Lite all the way until the DS2 comes out.

Thats exactly what I plan on doing, why buy a new system when you already have one that works just fine?
