2008 software/hardware update ?

I was playing at a friends house who just bought a wii last week and we were playing wii sports and noticed that it had newer features than mine !! Also, i have researched about this and it seems like the new "update" involved better graphics as well. Many people are saying that this is a software update but I haven't received a message on my Wii telling me to update. I have also done a manual Wii update, but it says my Wii have the most current updates. I am thinking that this is a hardware update instead of a software update. It kinda sucks if the people who have old Wiis if we cannot get this update !!

Most likely a hardware update(and an odd one at that). Try playing Wii Sports, if you don't get an update then it's most likely hardware.

The game is slightly different, that's it.

You're nuts if you're thinking of selling your wii to get a new one. There aren't any graphical improvements and even if there wer, they wouldn't be due to upgrades to the Wii's guts.

i have 2. i recently found one at walmart and bought it to sell. I was going to keep it if there was a new Wii hardware update that my older Wii could not get. Since that is resolved, I will sell the Wii that I just bought. Anyone know of ne one that wants one ?NESGuy83

Unfortunately i'm in the same boat as you. I also have an extra Wii that my friend said he was gonna buy but I don't think he will.

I heard also that there were graphics improvements as well. How can you have updated graphics without hardware update ? NESGuy83
