25th Anniversary of Tetris .. and NO TETRIS GAME to go along.

I dont get it, Tetris is a game that would CONSTANTLY sell and yet Nintendo stops selling Tetris DS.

They launch a new DS and have no Tetris game to sell with it. They stop production.

And Im not one to buy a used one for double the price on ebay.

Why cant they keep games shelf life longer? Especially popular ones like Tetris DS

Tetris would be a great game for DSiWare, but the closest we have is Dr. Mario or Art Style: Aquia.

It's not like they make a game for every series that hits 25 on the anniversary. Games take time to make, and maybe they just didn't think to make one for the 25th aniversary in time, or just didn't have enough interest to go through with a project for it. Besides, isn't Tetris one of their 1 per system kinda of games?

Im not asking for a 25th anniversary edition.. Im asking for ANY edition. One that i can buy and play. WHy must they keep re-re-releasing tetris fo. at least keep an original on.

Just play any of the other thousand versions that have been released. It's not like there's a big difference between them.

One was released for Wiiware a couple months ago. And there is already one for the DS anyway.

I wish they would maek another Tetris ds, because i missed out on the first one, and now i can only get it on the internet. For double the price. Darn you, Nintendo!!!

There's only a thousand on each and ever platform. Just pick up anything. Tetris is Tetris.

Neither did I. I know its been out for a few years, but I never imagined it become so rare, so quickly. I mean, it's Tetris! That's probably the most popular game ever made! You'd think Nintendo would keep in production to capitalize on its popularity. I'm baffled as to why they chose not to do that. It's such an odd move.

as wierd as this may sound but for its 25th anniversary the creator of Tetris is focusing on making it a sport, not just any MLG "sport" or whatever.... I mean real sport like basketball, soccer etc etc....Arclight_Blue
