I lke both, but I'm leaning toward 2D more.
How about you?

I like both but I prefer 2D, and.... isn't NSMB 2D? I'm pretty sure it is, I was just playing :)Dymond7
Both :) 3D characters in a 2D background
And i like both but i prefer 2D
I prefer 2D. For the DS that is. The DS can do some amazingly gorgeous 2D (sadly there are few games that use this well) as well as games with an emphasis on great artwork (Hotel Dusk). The DS's 3d for the most part is still quite crude for my liking.
Sadly the developers for the DS don't seem to be making 2d games as good looking as the system is capable of for the most part.

exactly what I was thinking of
2d ftw. but i ofcousre still appreciate a good 3d game like mph.
i also like 2.5d games like nsmb, where they use some 3d graphics but the gameplay is 2d gold. they so needa make a metroid like that.
I like 2D better. Especially on the DS when 2D games can look alot more clean/crisp than 3D games.podliver
exactly. some 3d are lacking, and i don't like pixelated textures b/c im picky like that. still, im tolerant of it especial with ff3. i especially love the 2d graphics for Yoshi's island, (as i liked it then on SNES).

OMG YOMI! *points at avatar*
Sorry. Been a while since I've seen someone with a YYH avatar... from the last arc. @_@
ANYWAY! Getting back on topic:
Depends on the game. I like both but I'm leaning toward 2D myself. Nostalgia and all that.
well, I kinda wanted zelda DS to be 2D, and not a windwaker game because even though it would be "going backwards", a 2D zelda game with the capacity of the DS would be absolutly massive and huge, with even more weapons, dungeons and secrets to uncover. I just think it would be cool even if they did that only once, just to see how big they could make it.
Plus, outdated 3D graphics bug me, but I see no difference in outdated sprites.

I feel the samy way but for a different reason. I think a 2d DS Zelda would be great. I thought that PH was innovative with the control, but I wasn't too crazy about it. My hand and the stylus blocked the screen.
