I actually never got to play DK 64, but I hear good things, so I will download it onto my Revolution:DcoltonnaslundIt's a very good game, classic Rare - just too big for its own good. I would love to see a true DK on the Rev - Konga and JB are solid games in their own right, but the real Kong needs to return.
Yeah Dk64 was an awesome game. I think Nintendo said the next Dk is a platformer. Don't quote me on that though.Lasden
I thought MS bought Rare, so we wont be seeing any donkey kong games anymore.....
I miss DK64......They better bring it to the Wii! I miss Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Lanky Kong, Tiny Kong, and Chunky Kong! :(( (How can I remember their names?) Nintendo, make it happen! DK642...Get it? DK64...2, as in number 2...in the series......uhhhhhhhhhh...
this is where it feels like to me, Nintendo hasn't been delivering at all. It's been doing nothing to subsidize its IP properties and have good, fully fledged games be developed AND I'm not talking about Metroid Mario or Zelda, I'm talking about ALL the other characters.
We've seen what Rare could do with Donkey Kong. THE BIG ISSUE is that people like Miyamoto don't give out creative control. They like to keep as much control as possible in their hands, at the highest point of the bureaucratic pecking order.
I would have loved another Donkey Kong 64, another Yoshi's Story, a spin-off like a console Pokemon rpg/adventure, or a racing spin-off a la Diddy Kong Racing, except there are always very, very superficial reasons these things aren't happening.
