OK,
I have had my 3DS since launch and have always been concerned by the squeak it makes at the top left hand corner of the system and when opening a closing it. Do you think I should get it replaced?
Thanks

I only opened my 3DS twice, but there was no squeak noise for mine. I think you should try to get it replaced.
you mean less than a week? :P as for squeaking... well i don't think it's anything (if it was a chair/door i'd just spray some WD40 :P), but if it's annoying/worrying you, you might want to call nintendo for advice on what to do.OK,

The left hinge on my 3DS squeeks when opening and closing it as well. Seems to be just the plastic rubbing against each other. Doesn't seem to be a problem to me.
Mine does that sometimes too while opening/closing it.
I don't think it'a anything to worry about though, the hinges probly just need to be worked in more. After a while I'm sure the squeaking will go away.
I'll probly be more concerned if it's still squeaking after a month or two though.
Oh wow, you're gonna call Nintendo up because your 3DS squeeks? They will f***ing laugh at you.riariasesuuuh... no. they'll be concerned that word that the 3DS is poorly built will be spread by him, and thus will try to fix the issue and assist the client, LIKE ANY COMPANY WOULD DO.

Lots of companies sell you fragile products and make it sound like your fault when something goes wrong, like Apple, Microsoft, RIM, Apple and probably some other places.

My friends 360 Elites disc drive stopped opening when he hit the button so he called up Microsoft because he still had his 360 under the 1 year manufacturers warranty but they said that it was probably due to physical damage and they would repair it for a cost. And my mom bought a Blackberry Curve and it would cut off all the time in the middle of calls(not due to wireless service) and Rogers gave my mom one of those coverage phones while they sent out her Blackberry to RIM and they said they couldn't repair it. And everyone knows about Apples products. And iPod Touch screens will crack from you just running with it in your pocket. Mine has 1 crack from one edge to the other and thats from when I was playing basketball at the gym and it was in my buttoned up shorts pocket. Apple doesn't cover screen cracks either, which is why almost everyone out there has a cracked iPod Touch screen. iPhone screens aren't glass(or atleast more plastic) so they don't crack so easy.
