3DS launch colors are ugly.

How long do you think until they come out with decent colors? I was hoping they'd have a jade/emerald colored one, or the copper colored one they showed when it debuted.

That's the one i was going with and probably will still, just I saw a High resolution image and the contrast of the blue was on the lighter side.

I miss the days of Gameboy Color, where you had at least six different color options. The DSi and DSi XL were horrible in that regard. DSi had black, or baby blue. DSi XL had burgundy and bronze, ooh, exciting.

At least the aqua blue 3DS doesn't look so bad. I'm tired of black devices, so blue it is!

The blue one looks ok but it doesnt matter to me since im not getting it:D I am however getting a DS lite soon in green don't ask me why.

A white, silver or chromed one wouldd have been just glorious, but I have to conform with the blue one.

That's pretty much standard for Nintendo consoles, that and how they'll probably redesign it to be superior in every way a year later.

I started to say i'd wait for a 3DS lite or something, but I gave in and pre-ordered, got the blue one, cuz blue is my color, can't wait.

I like the blue one and that's the colour I'll get when I finally convince myself to buy one at launch (currently saying no to myself but as we get closer to launch, and more media pops up, I KNOW I'll give in. Too much love for Nintendo) However the idea of emerald green is orgasmic. Black 3DS would be great for skins to suit your colour needs (though I aint that type of guy)

I disagree. I've never thought black was a bad color for a system and that blue looks really nice. And coming from someone who hates his systems in any color besides black, that's saying something. Although, everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

Yeah but I will go with blue since its my favorite color. Most likely there are going to be cover cases so you could just buy those of the color of your choice.

Same, the Cobalt/black DS lite was the best looking one, would have loved that color scheme on the 3DS but i'll take the blue that's offered.

The 3DS is kinda ugly imo. I wish they kept the design of the DSi, the matte black is just so nice and it looks so clean. Reminds me of a Google CR-48 or an old Black Macbook (without the ugly glowing apple on the back).

I already ordered the aqua blue :D

At first i wanted the Aqua Blue but after seeing some images of the actual unit i change my mind.

In my opinion the second half of it looks ugly.

That's why i preordered mine in Black.

The colors are actually nice. I chose the black one, but the blue was very tempting.

The blue on black still looks like it would just throw me off...besides I was bold and got a blue DSi. and my DS Lite is black. Black-Blue-Black-Blue. So I Pre-ordered black. Also,blue looks like it`ll be overused and the "It" color. It sure is tempting though.

I agree the colors do suck. I've gotten blue for every handheld system so far. I'm waiting for the gold.orange color so I can have contrasting colors or some bullcrap like that. I refuse to pay that much for a system that I kind of already have unless it comes in some mofo colors.

By the time I get a 3DS, there'll probably be more colors available, but if not, then I'll have to go with blue, because I think it looks better, my favorite color is blue, and I'm just tired of black. I've had a black GBA SP, PS2 (obviously), DS Lite, Wii, etc. The only platform I haven't had that was black was the Gameboy Color and the DSi.

I remember that, but it was harder to find the good colors. I, along with many of my friends, had to settle on Teal...ugh, because it was the only color they had left. Teal was the least popular, and yet everyone I knew had it, because Lime Green was sold out everywhere.

In any case, I'm definitely getting "Cosmo" (LOL) Black. It looks purdy.
