This would be so so amazing

Hm, it doesn't look too shabby.
And doesn't mock up mean like, just it's outer shell or something, or an artist's model?
Looks pretty legit to me!
How would that think close, anyway? The buttons and control stick clearly would be under the top screen.
the bottom image was taken by fcc lol. even says nintendo filed it.
another image popped up supposedly leaked by foxcom the company that makes these products in china. i find it hard to believe because it looks too close to ds i and there is no analog stick on it. but these are the same people that leaked pspgo/ps3 slim images. we will find out tuesday :D.
The 2nd pic is making me believe they're real. :o
...and I was hoping for a control stick. D:
D-Pad is alright, it's been in gaming for decades now, but I do not want another ported or full 3D platformer with weird controls. It would be SM64DS all over again. :(
wait....
After thinking about it, these mock ups do not make sense. :x
If the upper screen is that HUGE, then all the gaming focus will be there, and the touchscreen will be for menus/options and stuff. If there's no control stick, then how would you control your character in a full 3D game? It's not like you can go Zelda PH/ST $tyle since the touchscreen will only be in use and the upper screen for your status, map, etc. and there's no 3D effects in the touch screen, making the HUGE screen a COMPLETE waste! O___o
I'll just wait for 2 more days. I'm sure Nintendo can figure out a way if these mock ups are real.

Unless that dark circular thing just above the d-pad is actually some kind of miniature analog stick.
And actually that looks a bit more reasonable than the earlier sketch would suggest. Though we only see part of it the top screen doesn't seem nearly as wide.
Looks like they remodelled the mock-up a bit. This would still look alot like a a regular DSi consindering this is a new generation handheld. I wouldn't mind something along these lines though; it doesn't look too bad.
Although with E3 just days away, I think i'm just gonna wait for the real thing. :P
When has Nintendo ever stuck to the same design when making a new gen handheld?
I think it will look completely different.

Nintendo has to keep the dual screens [as well as all of the buttons], if only for the sake of backwards compatibility. That somewhat limits their design choices.
