That is to say, there aren't too many 3DS games with any kind of online at the moment. The only two I can think of right now are Street Fighter 4 and Dead or Alive Dimensions. Mario Kart and Kid Icarus are coming though!
I have no trouble with lage on Super Street Fighter 4. The only other game I've played online is Tetris Party Live and it was fine too. I am really, really hoping to see lots of games w/ good online play. I guess it remains to be seen.
I've only played SSF4 online so far, and the first match was flawless, except I got raped. The second match was very laggy. And I got raped. So, I can't say if it's good or not. It's good sometimes. :P
I've played a bunch of rounds of Super Street Fighter IV 3D with a friend and it was mostly smooth. The occasional game did have some lag, but it wasn't permanent. It's still not easy to pass judgement yet, but it seems decent enough.

Is too early to be sure but I can tell you SF is great, no problem at all with the online. DOA in the other hand is, regretabily, a real shame, too much lag! not sure if this improves when you play with a friend as this also happens with SSBB in the Wii Nevertheless, great titles are coming, as Mario Kart and Monster Hunter!!

I spent a LOT of time with Pokemon.
Other than that: Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Metroid Prime Hunters, Advance Wars DR...
