i've had my 3ds since day one, and i've notcied that ever once in a while, in some spots the 3d is less the steller and i can see a "ghost" of an object in the game. greatly faded and shifted a little to the left or right. its ALMOST ALWAYS when theres a dark objects, or dark objects next to bright objects. i've noticed this in oot when you run through one of those round tree exits at the start, as link approaches the dark middle i can see a ghost link too. and in pushmo, i can sort of see something odd on brown and black blocks, the ghost shrinks and vanishes as i reduce the 3d effect.

this is totally normal i'm assuming, right? the 3d is pretty excellent the whole rest of the time. thats probably why the ghosting really stands out when it happens

This usually happens to me when I'm tired. If so, I just turn the 3D right down to low (or off).

i get that too. i mostly see it in tales of the abyss and F1 2011. menus can be very bad. i dont know if its a limit of the tech or a poor implementation of the 3D aspect. one is a PS2 port and the other is a rush job of a PSP port. neither was made with 3D in mind so maybe there is a problem there.. i cant say i noticed it in mario land but i havent really looked for it.

It's normal - it's just a problem with the way the 3D works on the 3DS. I find it's really bad in the scenes you've mentioned (especially going through the trees) as well as the square cursor in shops. That thing completely destroys the 3D effect, even when it's set lower. The RE demo has a ton of crosstalk too, which is interesting as it's a fairly dark game. But in that case it's less the fault of the 3DS and more Capcom's fault.

I notice it all the time when ever something is dark. I basically went through RE : Revelations with 3D turned off (Apart from cutscenes)

I've had this most notably with Urban Champion. While i've seen it in Resident Evil, it has been a rare occurrence. I do find that tired eyes seem to create the same effect too.

yes in dark areas its more apparant...try to lay down and hold the 3ds completely still...thats all you can do..

after a couple min your eyes will adjust.

if you play for like 3 hours..ur eye well start getting tired to and you will see this.
