I think anyone can find this out by clicking "details" at any retail site (amazon, gamestop etc).

I think what people were really looking for was what powers the 3ds which hasnt really been revealed. I think its due to the fact thats its probably not THAT impressive compared to the specs that were released on the NGP.

Honestly the specs mean nothing to me. Also the people who would look at this thread are the ones who already know/would google it themselves.

People who buy Nintendo systems rarely do so for "the specs." Not since the SNES really, because Nintendo has always been behind since the N64 as far as specs go. We buy them for the innovation and the games, so no, it has nothing to do with NGP specs. NGP's not even on my radar.

Wow I try to do something nice and all I get in return is a bunch of flaming...

I only posted it cause I got sick of people asking the same questions over and over again..

How long is battery life? Can I play regular ds games on the 3ds? how does it differ in size then other ds's ? and so on..

This answered most question I saw a zillion times being asked on this forum and other ds game forums on this site.

This topic wasnt posted just so people could but it down simply cause their bored and have an Epeen issue.. Geez.

Don't like the topic then have a mod delete it, dont waste space by flaming someone just for trying to be helpful.

Oh so you speak for Nintendo? You're professionally employed by them?

Didnt know that. I stand corrected.

Do I need to work for Nintnedo to know that their systems are never the most powerful? Do I need to work for them to connect these very obvious dots? No, no I don't. Now you stand corrected.
Why would the average casual gamer (key word casual, not hardcore) compare 3DS to NPG specs? Casual gamers don't care about that. Hardcore gamers already know the specs, and whether they compare them probably won't be the biggest contributing factor to deciding which to buy.

I applaud your intentions but it's not going to stop anything... People who post questions like that won't have taken the time to read any of the older threads.

Wrong, Nintendo has had the most powerful system a few times, such as the SNES and the N64 (which was only held back by the cartridge)

Read my original post, it specifies SINCE the N64. The PS2 was more powerful than the N64. Do people just reply to whatever they want and ignore everything else?

Thats not the point! Lol. Its like taking medicine without knowing whats really in it...or eating something without question. Not everyone that plays a handheld (like me) is casual! You are just taking yourself and applying it to everyone! All I am trying to say is its a bit SKETCHY when Nintendo doesnt release the specs for a system...why shouldnt they?? I dont really care that much because I am going to buy a 3ds regardless, but dont you think it makes sense for them to hold the specs back now that the NGP specs were released? What if it shows that the NGP is double or TRIPLE the specs and it releases at say 299.99 (just saying, WHAT IF). Wont Nintendo look bad selling a system with a third of the specs for 250? Thats all I am saying...

I go by logic and logic tells me it doesnt make sense that Nintendo wont release the specs to the system.

What...? I don't even... the specs have been released. No one said they shouldn't be released. Did you even read the original post?

Dustinthewind , I must say anyone such as myself a serious tech nerd / hardcore gamer is in awe over that link. The teardown of the 3ds made me feel a tad better about what i was getting for my money. It could be a tad better but i'm sure if it was the price would be a bit higher :( ...

I thank ya though for that link.

Indeed they did.. which makes me wonder/think omg if they make a 3ds lite.. the price is gonna be more then the regular 3ds (I could be wrong though as nintendo is odd when it comes to prices. ) simple based on smaller parts means a higher price tag.. heck look at replacement / upgrade parts for a laptop's pricetag... the 3ds will be the same issue . small means more money (when it comes to tech stuff) ..

Errr, the PS2 was in the different generation to the N64.
