£194.99 and March 18th.

That would point to it being about $250 in US?

I think that is a pretty good price actually. Cheaper than some people were anticipating.

Definitely. I myself thought this would be something along the lines of $299, so this is good news if it turns out true!

That would point to $300. I dunno, I expected less but VAT will be 20% in UK next year so £200 wouldn't be so surprising.

We always pay a bit more in the UK than the US, so I rounded it down a bit.

According to Google that will roughly translate to $250, which seems to be the price everyone is speculating.

Rumor is false, MGS3 is no where near done and it lists Revelations as a launch title but it's only 20% done. So this isn't official it's a place holder date and place holder price. Sickens me that people think $250 is a good price. $200 would be better maybe $229. Keep talking like you're willing to give Nintendo up to $300 and you will end up doing so. They even said press and public reaction helped lead to the JP price tag.

Haha I would say

$199.99 - smart price

$229.99 - fair price

$249.99 - Pushing it a bit but still doable

$299.99 - really dumb idea on Nintendos part (although I MIGHT still buy it)

I agree but no one seems to care and stop the " take my money already" attitude and of course Nintendo will make the right business decision and exploit gamers for as high as price as we are willing to except.

I will point out that they are legally obligated to make as much money as possible.

Of course, and Nintendo should charge as much as possible for their benefit

I just wish the gaming community, specifically the DS gaming community and press, would be more vocal against a higher price point. We are walking into the $250-$300 price.

I agree with you. i am in now way willing to shell out $$200 and up for a handheld. I don't care what etch they put in. Its just too high. I will not purchase anything at that price. Maybe at a Boxing Day sale when the prices dip nice and low, maybe then. (XBOX went down to $130 on Boxing Day. that I'm, willing to pay.)

I agree some prices are lofty, but I also think you are being a bit demanding and cheap ;).

And this wait along with the lack of a known price tag is helping them formulate a decision while also try to, through our lack of patience, make the public accept the price of 300. A few months ago, no one would accept a price over 200, but now more and more are leaning to 250 and beyond. Or perhaps I've been smoking something :P

Assuming that rumor is true and assuming that you can determine the US price based on a straight currency conversion.

well considering psp costed 250 , this couldnt be that much worst lol,

and at least it is bc with all ds games and dsi ware is said to be transferable, and itll have vc 3d wii like visuals,-which is more powerful then psp for 50 more if it ends up 300 -im a happy camper at the end of the day cause , i only need to drop 250 launch day thanks to preorder see thats why you preord er ,

at least launch day your not hurtin , as a p osed to just dropiing 300 for a sys te m day on e ,

next month im droping 150 more so i d only have to pay 100 (150 plus 50 =200 300-200=100)

plus my 1 game or 2

lol im all set!
