6 months and STILL nothing new?

Wow. I haven't played Wii or checked the status of new games for 4-6 months now, simply due to a severe lack of games. Now, I come back to check what's new and there's absolutely nothing new in stores or on the release horizon....

This just makes me sad...Mario Galaxy, MP3, SSBB, RE:UC.....all the same titles as 6 months ago. I know there's usually a lack of games in the first year, but this is absolutely ridiculous... I want to play my Wii, but I have no reason to do so because there are no new games!

Bah! This is the worst generation of consoles I've ever experienced.

I understand you, but I don't mind if I have to wait a bit longer to get a better game. Think in any zelda they were announced and you had to wait for them more than six month, and in the end the result in a very good game.

The Wii isn't the ps3 or a pc....it doesn't take teams of hundreds of shader artists to make a game look decent because it's running on a 1080p tv. The development cycle has been quoted by actual developers as required around 1/4 to 1/3 the resources of 360/ps3/pc games.

That, and I wasn't expecting that companies would start AND complete development within that 6 month period....developers have been working on games since long before the system was even released, and it's so close to the gamecube in architecture, that they could easily have been working on them as soon as the remote was finished. I just can't believe that nothing worthwhile made it to the shelves in that whole time. I don't expect a massive number of games, but a single great game in SIX MONTHS would be nice....

Third parties are lazy sobs. Most of them are still playing catchup pitching ideas.

So godfather blackhand edition and scarface aren't great games? You should look more.

Dude Im where you are, I have not found any interesting games to tide me over until the big banana of awesome games come out and honestly, I've been trying to save up for a 360 due to the boringness. so just be patient and wait, sell your wii, get a 360/PS3 or play your other consoles until you find afew good games to get.

What about Battalion Wars? No More Heroes? Mario Kart? MoH? Super Mario Strikers? Table Tennis? Guitar Hero? Bully?

You simply haven't looked hard enough. With the exception of Table Tennis and Bully those are all new games.

Lol, people these days.... so impatient. There are actually good games right now and great games are coming this fall. If only you would do some research

Some of you people need to stop crying about a lack of games there is good games out just go look for them damn for the ones that even buy a wii why get onesince you cry about it andfor thatone guy on here that was saying scarface aint a great game why didthe ign nintendo team give it a 8.5 you know why cuz it is a great game thats why you idiot.I though this was a nintendo forum not a x-box 360forum if for the ones that want to sell there wii or just like a 360 you are getting a meltdown system and it even blows up from the hard drive that is in it 360 is a cheap ass system.

And six months still till Brawl comes out...
