I agree. 64 was amazing when it first came out, but Galaxy is the better game. It perfected the concepts that 64 introduced. But I like both games; don't make me choose.
64. galaxy was fun but it was just to kind of childish or somtin. i dont know any word to call but look at super paper mario. the plot for that was in a way similar to galaxy, type wise not story line wise. and dont complain if u dont really understand wat i just said. i dont either
My vote goes towards 64 here. Namely because although the new gravity mechanic and planetoid ideas were great (and well implemented at that) I found myself missing the freedom I felt in 64 and even, god help me, Sunshine. Now combine the two, and we'll talk!:Delemental_drago
not for me personaly 64 worlds compare to smg ones seemed i dont know pretty tight the only thing that isnt bigger in galaxy is the space station compared to the castle ground ( if I were to play 64 again I might puke of claustraphobia)

Finally, somebody who doesn't judge on nostalgia factor alone.
But then it's not like nostalgia is the only thing SM64 has over SMG. SMG is a higly linear and all round easy game,I can't honestly say that the game advanced the platforming genre in any shape or form apart from simply being more streamlined and acessable compared to it's forefathers (). While I wouldn't say the SM64 is the pinnicle of the genre either (Banjo Kazooie/Tooie and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped each handily outclass SM64 in terms of exploration and pure platforming challenge respectively) I'd easily say it's the better game when compared to Galaxy.never did like 64. I prefered the DS remake of the original one. and so galaxy wins. gameplay, graphics, sound... it's not cute anymore when people say 64 is better, we get it nostalgia is a big thing now move on
