8 Person Online Multiplayer

The new NBA Live for the Wii will feature 8 players able to play together online in a game. (as Nintendo Power reports)

This is really cool but I don't know how many times you're going to be able to find 8 people who want to play a game. Then I wonder how they're going to be able to play the game as far as picking players. I mean do you have to stay LeBron the entire game or can you switch players during the game to the lone CPU controlled player?

If so can you imagine how hectic that game will be when fully fleshed out with a full roster of online players?

Very cool. Not interested in the game, though. I bet the new Mario Kart will let us play with at least 7 other players online, judging by what they said at the conference..Litchie

Anyways I love Wi-Fi games and NBA on wifi with 8 players shall be great! Just hope they make a good wifi game this time unlike alot of other wifi games that could have improved by 92%

ugh most of dont care about this type of game going oon to have net multiplayer i want a good shooter thats all.

and mabye a racing game.

and I'm sure it feels the same about you. also to answer the questionI would assume that players can switch by using the CPU character. Like say we are playing as the Bulls and I am Nocioni, and someone else is Gordon, and the CPU is Heienrich. And I want to be Gordon, I could switch to the CPU controller player, while the other person switches to Nocioni, and I switch to Gordon once he becomes free. Of course that is alot of effort and it would be easier to just stick with one player.
