I say yay cause it could be fun to have a pal to play through a Zelda experience.
Online Co-op would be nice but thats asking a bit too much lol

[QUOTE="FlawlessSeasons"]zelda is not in need of co op. I just played Four Swords with four people on the gamecube, and that is probably the most frustrating game ever.liljio14
how
It's really hard to get four people to work together. Nevermind that the game pits you against each other.
However, it's still a lot of fun. You just have to find people that will co-operate.

Not a chance. Ever. Please.
Zelda is epic, and not really suited for multiplayer (the formula was changed a bit for Four Swords).
Phantasy Star Online isn't that far off, though, and it is a lot of fun (even splitscreen on the Gamecube was good). Still, the formula isn't the same as Zelda.
I, for one, would buy the game just because it's Zelda, and I trust Nintendo to not botch up such a license. That being said, I would be worried about what kind of changes would have to take place. Then again, Metroid went 3D pretty well.
Still, I say nay.
Well, It would pretty much HAVE to be online to work effectivly...seeing how having 2 Links on screen in a 3d world wouldn't work. Split screen could be an option, but then you're looking at lowering the graphical quality of the game, which is :(.
Online would be the best option, but yeah they would have to come up with a new sort of gameplay. It wouldn't be the same puzzle solving game. Perhaps, make it a expansion on a original Zelda game. Like a extra hard area/fights (cave of ordeals comes to mind) that can't possibly be completed without the help of others. Special bosses at the end that require teamwork of some kind and rewards that will help out in the single player game. Dueling would also be a fun option, maybe for a wager of rupees?
oh come on! Zelda is a single-player game. Four Swords was crap.Xelioth1
I really liked Four Swords. It was much more Gauntlet than Zelda, though, and I think that's what I was saying previously. The game would have to change considerably to make it a good multiplayer game, but Nintendo is every bit capable of pulling that off.
In the mean time, PSO Ep. I & II Plus on the Gamecube (God bless backward compatibility) is probably worth looking into. EDIT: I've clocked probably 150-200 hours into this game (single-player and co-op), and I still find it to be one of the most addicting games ever. The co-op is solid... even in split-screen.
