What was once a canceled DS game (4 years ago) has come a long way.

The game has indeed undergone quite the transformation, but I think it's the right one for the situation. I don't have anything against the design for the DS game, which seems to focus more on 3D visuals and a 'cooler' look going for it. However, I think the hand-drawn 2D look and the younger hero helps in attempting to reach out to a larger audience. I was reading the interview IGN posted on the game, and those that are were involved seemed to have said almost all of the right things about this game and it's chances to become successful. It's one of those rare games (especially not being one of Nintendo's games) that feels like those behind really "gets it" when it comes to the TOTAL Wii demographic and what kind of games fit best, and that's what really impressed me. I think the change in visual design is proof that Majesco and Wayforward is really trying to make this game a surprise hit for the Wii, and I hope it is able to pull that off.
I know nothing of this game, but I'll support any quality 2-D platformer on the Wii. Major console's need more of them, and this looks pretty cool. Blobs just make for good games
The game certainly has come a long ways. I never got too interested when it was coming to the DS since I had a taste of the NES game not too long before it was announced. Interesting game, though it didn't grasp me so well since I could never figure out what to do next...
I really love the new art style they put for this game. If they at least make it a little easier to navigate, then I can warrent this a purchase. :)
