One thing I love in the Wii is the platformers. This Christmas season two striked my sight: Sonic Colours and Epic Mickey. Epic Mickey seems to have a nice story, and the concept also looks amazing. But there seems to be a somewhat dislike of the gameplay, specially camera and controls, present in almost every review. Sonic Colors is apparently more happily received, but it follows the Sonic classic model while Epic Mickey brings the innovative paint and thinner mechanic. I haven't yet finished Super Mario Galaxy 2 (but I'm surely loving it) and I'ld like to your opinion in whether I should adquire one of these two games. Does Epic Mickey concept compensates it's control problems? Or will a clumsy pointer user get frustrated with it? Does Sonic Colors add something new? Or are both not worth adding to my library while I still have some Mario to explore?

You can trust this one. This coming from a RETRO Sonic Fan.

Epic Mickey is a love or hate game, for me I hated it.

And DKCR is a MUST have.

Sonic Colors has more content than any platformer released this year, save Mario Galaxy 2.

Epic Mickey was painful to play, I don't think you should try that one.

Sonic Colors is actually good. The only things you may not like is the camera which is usually perfect, but zooms really far sometimes, the rehased bosses and sonic is okay to control.

I've been seeing reviews and gameplay trailer of Sonic, and I'll go for it. It's a safer shot and it looks like the Galaxy of Sonic (not as good as Mario of course). I might buy Epic Mickey in the future, but for now I'm going for Sonic.

Mickey will probably go in the bargain bin soon enough, it's more of a fan service then anything else. both kirby and dk should be looked into if you are a platforming fan, DK especially.

Well It Would Have Been Nice If You Can Do What They Did In Okami (Summon Up Whatever You Drew). And Sonic Whatever You Call It Racing Lagged In Sound And Raceing Creativity (Whit Bad Sound And No Cool Weapons). + Wheres the Shop to Upgrade your car and purchase unlockables?

Epic Mickey is more of an adventure game than a platformer, it is a love it/hate it game, so rent first. If you are a fan of Sonic, buy Sonic Colors, otherwise rent first.

epic mickey feelslike theres a half second delay on the controls... the camera is mostly bad at the beginning but once you get farther you kind of stop noticing... game is a must for mickey wii and disney fans..

Sonic Colors is really good from what I hear!

I have it but haven't got a chance to play it yet due to DKCR and All Stars.

Epic Mickey is an adventure platforming game. It is an adventure game with platforming as a means of getting around and finding things. It is not a platformer like Mario Galaxy or Sonic. Thus, EM's "fun" is derived from the story, setting, and adventuring, rather than the "platforming." It has more in common with games like Jak and Daxter, Star Fox Adventures, Psychonauts, Beyond Good and Evil, and even Okami than it does with SMG or Sonic.

If you just like platforming, then you should look towards Donkey Kong Country Returns, it is better than Sonic Colors (IMO). I think people complain about Epic Mickey because it isn't a platformer like they thought it would be.

Okay, I wasn't expecting a very "Platforming" experience from Mickey anyway. It's good to hear good feedback from both.
