The MOD uses a parallel port cable (IEEE 1284 D-SUB 25 male) top connect the Wii to the parallel port of a PC. The mod firmware is run locally on the PC (spot the black console window below the video capture screen) and the video is fed through a video capture card, also slapped onto a PC.
Pretty nifty trick for under three bucks isn't it? Boot up your backed up games to keep the originals lasting longer. The DVD drive is patched directly to the PC via printer cable and from there the modified firmware bypasses the security check.
if u can look closely (or even read what I said in the description), using the internal parallel port with the Wii, you can actually now play backups on the Wii, by launching a few lines of code on the connected PC...previously (which isn't that long ago), this could only be done by installing (and paying for) a Wii modchip such as Cyclowiz or Wiikey....for more info and how to actually do the mod yourself (which works 100%), check out maxconsole.
imo, if you are goin to solder something inside why not just do a modchip anyway and still be able to play the games on your tv. No matter what you still have to void your warrenty and open the system. it would be one thing if you could do it without opening it.
Ignoring the fact that you're doing both illegal activities and spamming with this post, you don't know what a MOD is. Mod refers to moderator or modification, MOD refers to a module music file. :|
