Have you thought into this any further than what you've posted? Like who is your character? What's the driving force behind their choice to be such a traveling philanthopist? How would it play? Would it be like an adventure game? An RPG? It's an interesting concept and I think we could have some fun in this thread fleshing it out a bit more.whoozwah
It was just an idea...I not going to create a game design outline for you guys lol.
ah, I was all ready to discuss it. I ask a few questions now you change your mind? What gives man?whoozwah
Oh ok, I thought you were implying something else. Ill answer then just give me a minute.
That would be perfect if nintendo my a game similar to Mass Effect but not that intense. What I was thinking was that They should make a game where you travel distant planets and galaxies and help the planets with there problems such as war and etc. The first level would obviously be are world...its probably the most screwed up planet that has life out there (if there is outerlife). Anyways, You could meet a variety of people that help you on your journey. I like games that are long so there would be tons of planets and galaxies to save. That would be kinda cool Dont ya think. I dont care if you make fun of me its just a thought.Hylian-Gaxin
they have a game allredy like that for PC, its called starship tycoon

The character would have an abstract mind, he wants to know whats going in the outside universe, he would probably 14.
He is interested in helping the world and be a savior.
After helping Earth, NASA (not NASA just a diffrent space association) offers him a chance to go up into outer space. He takes it and on the way up the space craft crashes in the hydrosphere. The main character miraciously survives.
You can move around with the nunchuck analog stick and attack and stuff with the wiimote. You would get a space board
where you can surf around space with a board at high speeds using the Wii balance board.
It would be an adventure game.
Thats what I got so far.
do you think the age is really appropriate for the kind of stuff the main character is involved with. late 20s early 30s seems closer to accurate.
In regards to using the balance board, would this be the primary means of getting around or is it only for certain parts of the game. Either way it could get to be unpleasant if you were always getting on and off the board.
In regards to attacking with the wiimote, would this be a button press or would it be a motion?

I agree for the age, but Sora from kingdom hearts was young.
For the Wii board you would have the option of either using a spacecraft to get to planets instantly or use the wii board for minigames and closer planets for fun. There might also be Celestial Races (FUN)
For the attacks I think it would be cool to have it optional as well, either button or movement.
options are always the best...um..option? :P
This game sounds heavier than Kingdom Hearts. Hence I asked about the age.
I really like the idea of having optional races inbetween the planets for people with the balance board. Great idea. I'm guessing snowboard style right? Maybe have collectible stars on the track that build up a boost meter. Once it fills you can press A to turbo.

Yea good idea.
And hey maybe even wifi without lag.
The wifi games would be.
Celestial Races (snowboard style btw)
S.O.S= A time trial to see how many mini-worlds you can beat faster than the other players (kinda like mario galaxy but not that kiddy)
And maybe some other ones...I still dont know about the mario galaxy style of the S.O.S Wifi game though.
based on that it would have platformer sections as well? Hmm, this is turning into quite a unique game idea. Elements of action/adventure, RPG, platformer and racing have all been incorporated so far. And with wifi. If done right this game would be very fun to play. If you minimize the micromanagement and let the game just level you up based on your performance rather than make you have to deal with it then it could be awesome.
What would you call it?

Maybe SOS or Celest
it's sounding galaxy influenced at this point but I'm figuring if the levels are much more vast and are less of them, more like Metroid Prime 3 then it would more easily differentiate itself from said mario title.whoozwah
is it a new game? or is it SUPER MARIO GALAXY?tgh93_29
No its the game im designing. Hopefully sometime when I draw all the sketches I can somehow send them to Nintendo.
Ill work on the sketches tonight and post them on my bulliten tomarrow.
Mass EffectHylian-Gaxin
Never played it. I would buy this if it came out for the Wii though because I heard Mass Effect was great.
