When Pokemon Stadium was announced everyone was anxious to catch pokemon and walk around and battle just like they did in the Game Boy versions.
But it was not so. It was far from it. It was still fun but why has nintendo never though of making a 3D Pokemon game where you can REALLY capture your own Pokemon. XD: Gale of Darkness and Colosseum don't count because if anyone has actually played them, the way you catch Pokemon is pretty stupid*. It has some good things about it but there is no freedom that you have on any of the handheld Pokemon games.

I've always had the idea of having a 3d game where you have your own trainer, walk through the grass, explore towns, capture pokemon and train them, basically the features of the handheld games but with a massive online multiplayer feature. For example, meeting, battling, partying withother trainers online and see them on the streets. There can be tons of other things you could do but it's just an example.

It's not much of an addition and it may seem bad to some people because it is far from the usual Pokemon formula of travelling alone but I've always thought it was an interesting direction for the franchise to try.

my pokemon dream has always been very similar. except in mine, its an MMORPG. the other trainers are other players, and you can explore any of the regions featured in the games.

Yeah that would be awesome. This just came to my head and might sound kinda crazy but it might be interesing if people can be things other than trainers in this Pokemon MMORPG. Like a Gym Leader, Villain, or even a Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny. Lol.

Sounds good. They should definitely improve from things from the portable version for me to like it though. Level cap raised to 150 and keep six moves instead of four would be swell.

remove levels and insert a hidden system based mostly on what stats you want your monsters to excel in. so while pokemon that have had more training are better, they won't blow everyone else just because they are level 100. sure there will be a soft cap max level based on how much time you've spent with your pokemon and based on other things, but it wouldn't be the be all and end all like level 100 is now.

and it has to be an action RPG, this will give reasons to not evolve your monsters, smallness decreases your enemies chance to hit, and make most pre-evolved pokemon faster.

the list just goes on and on about what could be done with the game (considering your pokemon are the objects rather then your character, the game is much more "limitless" then other RPG games), but TBH nintendo won't change it, the current 1995 formula still milks the money off of kids, so why change it?

We've all dreamt of that. However, the online feature is very unrealistic and it would be quite difficult to get the whole world, all the trainers, and all the pokemon on a Wii disc. However, there a pretty simple solution to that. I say combine this poke-dream with the G/S-remake poke-dream and remake the second gen on Wii. That way, they wouldn't have to waste resources on putting in the horrid pokemon from 3rd and 4th gens. Of course, it shouldn't be a pure remake, there would be plenty of differences and additions, but the main areas would remain the same for nostalgia's sake. Agree?

I thought there was already a pokemon game like that; but I don't think it's made from Nintendo though. I don't know if this is fake or not, but they're is a video on: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8725SmngxM that shows a guying running around and chatting to people. If you find one on the internet, and it tries to get you to download this toolbar which starts with a Za, can't remember it right now. But don't download the toolbar, if you google the name, it'll tell you that the toolbar installs viruses and spyware into your computer and such.

The pokemon game I want is for you to be able to explore, and do the regular stuff as now. But, I think it would be cool if you could join different organizations, like team magma, team rocket, aqua, etc.

a pokemon MMO for the wii would both be awesome and make Nintendo a lot of money. why dont they do it? because it makes sense. that seems to be the problem with the wii. so much overlooked potential. I hope youre reading this, Nintendo!

Your dream has been talked about many a time on this site.

Yes, a Pokemon Mmorpg would be absolutely fantastic.

Is it plausible? I don't think so. Give it a decade.

Not to be rude or anything, but you might want to edit your post and take out the r-word, or else you'll get in trouble with the Mods. On topic (if you're actually trying to get us to discuss something) it seems like a good idea, it'll surely happen sometime.

This is what the digimon world games for the ds do they dont let you level up completely you would have to increase certain stats and even have to de-evolve your digimon
