first, you put firered into the gba slot, then in pearl/diamond, you go to the pal park and talk to the person at the counter. He/she will ask you which pokemon from the firered game you would like to "migrate' over. Once selected, you participate in pal park and catch the pokemon that you picked
no,you go to the menu on dimond or pearl and its going to say migrate from dimond/pearl then press ok then you pick your pokemon you want to migrate...p.s.you unlock pal park after the elite 4 ...you also find it on route221..you dont need a cable
