If you have the GameCube version, yes.

My mistake. I checked Wikipedia, and yes, you can use the Cube controller. Or the Classic one, for that matter.

No. If you want it to be GC-controller compatible then just buy the GC version.

Just kidding. :)

But that's where you're wrong.
Players can switch between the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, Gamecube Controller and the Classic Controller at any time, depending on their preferred style of play.Wikipedia

It works with the gc controller. Though, your wii remote has to be turned off for it to work. Nice thing is, it even changes the cursor back to the laser sight as well.

As bluezy has corrected himself and I already told you, yes. You can play the Wii version of RE4 with a Gamecube Controller if you so desire.

It does support the GC controller, though I have no clue why you'd want to use it.

Yes. Basically it works like this:

  • If you have a Nunchuk connected to your Wiimote, you get the Wii style controls.
  • If you have a classic controller connected to your Wiimote, you get the CC controls.
  • Finally, if nothing is connected to your Wiimote, and a GCN controller is plugged in, then you control the game with this. (Now the only thing is you have to boot the game up with a Nunchuk attached, and then unplug it after the game starts)

Of course, I'm not sure why you'd want the GCN controls. The Wii controls are absolutely spot on for this game.

That's odd,I never saw anything about using a different controller while I was playing it and I've just looked in the manual and it says nothing in there either.Don't know why anyone would want to tho,the Wiimote is spot on.
