Since Australia has some weird importing issues or something, the Pheonix Wright games are either no longer available or were never available, and I know about importing myself but can't really be bothered I may later. My question is could I still play Apollo Justice and Miles Edgeworth and still get the most I can out of it, enjoy it etc.

They're both the beginning of new story arcs in the Ace Attorney series, but I wouldn't recommend playing Miles Edgeworth without playing the Phoenix Wright games. Apollo Justice is the only game I can consider "standalone" to any extent since so few characters return from the previous games, plus there's a 7-year gap.

Absolutely. I'm just saying that if you're absolutely refusing to play the PW games (and it would be a shame to not play those first), then AJ is better to play than ME.

yeah I think so actually as they all have their own unique story, but be prepared to not get some things

you said absolutely twice. you're now my #1 suspect on "who could be Reggie Fils-Aime's gamespot profile?" back to PW... if he plays one, he'll want to play all of them, so it's best to start at the beginning, right?

I went in this order:

3rd PW game (T&T) - 1st PW game - started Miles' game - 2nd PW game - working on Miles still

Honestly, the games are great in any order, but if the first one is too hard to find, don't worry 'bout it. The other games pretty much go over everything from the older games.

You *could* play the Apollo Justice without playing the others, but you will miss a lot of little things that make the game much more enjoyable.

Mile Edgeworth suffers from this even more, and i really didn't like it a lot. Actually, I only played it until the end because I love some of the recurring characters. And of course, I only love then because I've played the others games.

the first one is the easiest to find. actually, all the first 3 are easy. they're on wiiware (at least the first 2, the third will be arriving soon)

I still don't count those. I mean, what's Phoenix Wright without yelling "Objection!"? Half the fun.

And a lot of people don't have wi-fi, plus that's a Wii game anyway. Doesn't count.

I agree, although the first ones really set the tone for the series and are definitely worth trying to pick up, especially since the DS has no region coding, so getting a copy shouldn't be too hard if you use ebay or such.

Yes you could start from AJ or Miles EW.

I recently started with Apollo and there was no problem at all. After that I tried Phoenix Wright out of curiosity and It turned out to be shocking. I wont say any spoilers for your sake. But starting out from any game wouldnt be such a problem since I did.

No, it's an earthquake button in ME-- what I'm saying is that the yelling is important. Very important.

And it barely matters what game you start on, but if you have the choice, always start from the beginning.
