You HAVE to. It's tiring? You may have bigger problems than a small house if it's tiring to simply flick your wrist. :?

Waving is unnecessary. For the legend of Zelda a flick of the wrist is suggested.

Why does it matter if you have a small house? And you don't have to wave. Like gorilaboy and Duckman5 said, just a flick of the wrist.

Dude based on your statement I think you really need to rethink what purpose you're serving for the human race.

you need very little space unless your a maniak at wii sports like me but zelda i just sit in a chair and i dont have to move my arm i just have to move my wrist a little bit or you can lock on with Z and hit A to do a jumping attack (no motion) i dought you could beat the game like that though

You could turn up the sensitivity. Mine is one lowest and I don't wave to much.

Odd...I was reported. It's not like I was offending anyone. It was an honest question.

. I was thinking the same thing. But yeah I've gotta admit that my arm has gotten tired from Wii Sports and Tony Hawk's Proving Ground to the point that it's sore the next day.

Well, the whole point of the Wii is to use the motion controls. However, in videos many over do the motion controls. just flick your wrist to use the slash it works.
