ummmmmmm they might...the graphics of wii dont exactly differ from the GC too much because the GC could probably pruduce them. But the focus of wii is definately the gameplay rather than graphics.
Wii specs: 729mhz CPU 243mhz GPU 88MB total RAM +3MB texture memory Xbox specs: 733MB CPU 233mhz GPU 64MB total RAM In theory, the Wii is much more powerful than the Xbox. It has more RAM and a faster GPU. The RAM speed is also faster on the Wii. The CPU is also much more efficient due to a larger L2 cache and a faster FSB (it's a 2006 PowerPC vs. a 2002 Celeron Mobile). Due to the Wii being more powerful than Xbox, it must also be more powerful than Gamecube. Whether or not the developers want to take the time and spend the money to utilize the Wii to its full potential is a different story entirely. As it stands, I don't think any Wii game would've been impossible on Xbox. Even Mario Galaxy is within the realm of possibility. A lot of Xbox devs said it wasn't even used to its full potential, meaning the Wii (in theory) should be capable of graphics better than Halo 2, Chaos Theory, Riddick, and Ninja Gaiden Black on a consistent basis.

will if factor 5 said the "The Wii can do what the PS3 can and than some" I would have some hefty expectations. I was disappointed Factor 5 didn't say anything at GDC '08 (unless I missed it). I hope they have something to show for E3

There's a million different ways to quantify 'stronger' graphics, but the general view is that the Wii is two or three times more powerful than the gamecube.
