nintendo is my favorite company but i dont know why they made their whole console based on a controller. i mean its working . sales are up more than ever and theyre likely to come in 1st or 2nd this generation. But i dont care the least bit about that. for the people who truly love games its not about this console war its about having fun. and there are no wii games right now exept for zelda and super paper mario that truly give you an amazing experience. for ps3 and 360 developers most of them focus on graphics more than gameplay. but for the handful that focus equally on both they create masterpieces. its not about making tons of amazing games no more for nintendo. its about expanding the market to make video games appeal to the mass. and honestly to do this games will be become so simple so that non gamers can finally wrap their hands around a controller. what about all of us . we dont wanna play minigames. we wanna play epic beautiful adventures that well remember whenever we think back when we were younger and say wow that game was one amazing experience. please if people dont wanna play video games thats their choice. please focus on us the casual and the hardcore so we can continue enjoying what weve been enjoying since we first picked up a controller. listen im not trying to piss anyone off but at least sony intergrated the motion sensing in the ps3 controller so that developers have an option. if a wii dev wants to make the controls traditional they have to use a vc controller, gc controller or flip the wii controller horizontally. first off some people dont wanna buy a vc controller. some people dont own a gc controller. and honestly the wiimote horizontally is not so damn comfortable. it feels so old and so retro compared to other consoles. motion sensing is cool but a whole console based on it isnt fun. thats all i care about. if nintendo were to put in next gen graphics and a controller that has motion sensing but still appears to be a traditional controller like the ps3 controller(i love nintendo not intending to piss anyone off)and made the console 100 or 200 dollars more would you lay out the extra money to buy it ?
I think your right in that Nintendo is not giving us enough hard core games but it is only 5 months in and there are lots of pretty good games. I think youre wrong in that there controller is bad. The Wiimote is awesome and if you don't like it then you can go play the PS3 cus u seem to be more into that.
we should still give the game companies time. the wii just came out and they're still brainstorming on how to take advantage of it. THEN comes the massive amount of work required to MAKE the game. it may be a while, but the wii is capable of so much! thats why gs keeps rating games bad. they compare it to how well it ranked to games on that platform, and judging by their scores so far, you can tell gamespot sees alot more potential in the wii.
