Hi everyone

I just finished MGS:SE for the 3DS and am totally amazed with the production values. I have not a single complain and I would have started to play again if it wasn't for all the other games pending I have

Ok, so, as I have only played the Twin Snakes for the GC before this one I got some questions. I understand the Snake from MGS:SE (3DS) is not the same one from MGS:TS (GC). What else am I missing? Obviously Snake Eater is the first game in the timeline (so far), but how late is the Twin Snakes? I appreciate all the briefing contained at both games, but I still have the feeling that I need some facts in between

Anyway, thanks for any additional info you may provide. I really hope to get some kind of remake or re-imagination (as in Silent Hill: SM) of the missing episodes for the Wii U or the 3DS from Konami soon (missing from the Nintendo platforms at least)

BTW, the soundtrack is also great. Is it available to purchase online?

Best regards!

The Snake in Snake Eater is the original, Naked Snake. The one from the first MGS game is Solid Snake, he and Liquid are clones of Big Boss.

Which game actually explains more about the cloning part of the story? I mean, considering the only two games I've played are TS and SE, which on should I read about? (as I only have a Wii and a 3DS it's likely I won't be playing it but at least I can fill in the gaps on the story)

Regards

That's the first MGS game I have played, and the first game of that particular type that I have ever played, and love it, I have played it since I got it in May, and can't get enough! I like playing tricks on the guards, esp now that I have stealth camo, and infinity fp!, I tried on extreme and got as far as Ocelot, with about a half dozen or more fails, once on normal.

I have every boss uniform but Volgins, I just don't have enough time to get it!, tried different combos of cqc and tranq gun, and stun grenades, nothing works!

So far I have received different ranks/titles Panther, crocodile, Chameleon, and tsukinichoI hope they make more mgs games for 3ds!

Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater is in 1964 and the shadow moses incident occurs in 2005 (twin snakes) now between those two games there are three major titles Metal gear solid Peace walker for the PSP and PS3 and both the original games for MSX console, Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. If you played Twin Snakes you should understand that Liquid and Solid are both clones of Big Boss AKA (Naked Snake) im not saying anymore i suggest you go play Twin Snakes again. And maybe you can watch some walktrough on youtube of both MG games previously mentioned since you dont have a PS2 and obviously not an MSX, have fun playing !

Thanks a lot! I was expecting to find the original games at the VC if they are for MSX, but it appears this platform has no games for Americas. I almost was sure on this :( I recently started again MGS:TS, now that I'm more into it I'll take a look at the Wikia to get more details and, thanks again everyone!

You ahve to play 2 and then 4. I played them all in order (1-4, no PW or PO) 3 years ago and the series became one of my favorites. MGS4 is probably my favorite game this gen.
