Activision semi-confirming Guitar Hero for the Wii?

Activision had its conference call on Wednesday and the GameSpot article stated:

"For the company's 2008 fiscal year, which begins on April 1, Griffith said Activision will have 60 individual products, or SKUs, which would "aggressively target the Nintendo platforms." He said the company "will be focusing on our most successful franchises--Call of Duty, Tony Hawk, and Guitar Hero," though he stopped short of announcing specific new titles."

Considering the sales of the console, I think it's a safe bet to say that the Wii will be getting some awesome headbanging action by next year, which makes me very happy.

I just hope they get cracking on it sooner rather than later...

Activision announced that Guitar Hero would come to all platforms... although it is unsure whether all platforms will receive Guitar Hero 2, or Guitar Hero 3 (or whatever the sequel will be called).

It would boost wii's reputation if GH2 came on wii. But I might just throw up at Tony Hawk 9 :?

i'd rather play with the guitar than motion. because after all whats more emersive than an actual replica of a gibson. but it would suck because my guitars are for the ps2. i dont want to buy a new one just for the wii. i sense problems.

I really can't wait for the Wii Guitar Hero...but I hope that it's #3, as I really don't want to re-buy Guitar Hero 2.

I'm hoping for a new guitar attachment, i dont think it would work too well with the Wiimote & Nunchuck

I really can't wait for the Wii Guitar Hero...but I hope that it's #3, as I really don't want to re-buy Guitar Hero 2.reggie186


If this generation and last generation has shown... they want you to re-buy as much as possible.

Regarding Guitar Hero, are people really surprised about this?  Its pretty obvious Guitar Hero was going to come on the Wii.  It didnt' come on the GC simply because the userbase and interest wasn't there.  The Wii is a complete reversal of that.

well according to this, the DS and Wii are getting Guitar Hero. Unless I read it wrong or something

That article is going off the exact same conference call that is referenced in the first post. It's definitely not as 'confirmed' as this article makes it seem.

There's nothing to not believe about it: the issue isn't his information, it's his conclusion. The conference call happened, and he said what he said (as described in the Gamespot article). The other article linked just jumps ahead of itself and comes up with an unsupportable conclusion. The facts suggest that a port may be coming. But they only suggest, they don't prove.
