Hi, I just got a Nintendo Wii and I just found out about the memory cards.  Since I just got the Wii, I doubt I need a memory card but I had a few questions about them.  My first is can all SD memory cards work on the Wii?  I am almost 100% sure they can but I wanted to make sure.  If so, do they work just as well as the Nintendo memory cards?  Finally, what can you not do without a memory card?  Thanx in advance.

All SD card will work. The Nintendo brand just cost more (so don't by them since you will find cards a lot cheaper).

You don't need a SD card. Virtual Console games can be copied the SD card, but can't be run from it.

I hope they fix that in a update.

I got the 2GB Wii SD card yesterday for £22 and I just want to ask is this a universal SD card as in it will work with pretty much everything such as a PSP? Not too sure whether the only differance between this and other SD cards are its just got the Wii brand on it.

don't buy an sd card. if you do anyway... spend no more than $15 on 1gb. i bought one, haven't used it once. wait a few years then think about it. nintendo doesn't make cards - no benefit. dealmac.com for the best prices.
