70% of all my gaming life is purely online Just today I played Callo of Duty 3 Ghost Recon Gears of War Rainbow 6 all online on my 360
I want to buy a Wii because of its FREE online BUT I slap anybody in the face if they say that now I know it has no online games NOT EVEN Cod3! This is the ONLY platform that COD is not online! I guess Wii was made for more CASUAL Gamers , not like me

you have to consider though the 360 is pretty much based on online play, so of course they've had it from the get go, but nintendo is exploring new territory

Xbox was online before the 360 though, Nintendo doesn't have as much experience with online gaming
I'm on both sides of the fence here. On one side Nintendo doesn't even have an online infrastructure yet. They aren't even letting devs have the choice to put in online. Lots of game devs wanted online but just couldn't. Thats inexcusable. On the other side the Wii wasn't built around online and isn't a reason to buy a Wi, it's just meant as a bonus. Also you can't expect Nintendo to have what Microsoft has. Just look at the PS3 it tried copying Microsoft a Nintendo and ended up with a system that had no specialty. So it can go either way really.

PS3 has no online either AND it's overpriced and it's not failing.

Thats true, just look at Diddy Kong Racing for the DS.
Just my 2 cents...I would buy a Wii if it had online games. I think silly minigames online in games like wario and monkeyball etc would be a TON of fun.

I know I'm just saying I still got one fact thats true.
If Wii wants to head online, it should step up it's game. I want to see better friends list, the address book doesnt cut it. I mean seeing what people are playing and when they are online isnt much to ask and it works very well on the 360 and leaderboards are not hard to do. Do these things Nintendo and all will be well in the world.
Yes, Wii online would be very awesome. Hopefully they will release some sort of online shooter or something to get online functionality rolling, and then we can see some great games that take advantage of the Wii's unique controls and possible online greatness.

Wii is not just for casual gamers, but hardcore gamers as well. Though sme of the people don't understand that online play does not mean you're "hardcore", just a fan of it nothing more.

Uhhg i'm tired of these topics. I'm suprised its not "The official I want online Topic---PLEASE STICKY---" I'm sorry but this has been stated so many times. We are getting them in like...a month? Two months? I'm fine with Wii Sports/Play for the moment.
You have to keep in mind the gamecube had no online so this is their first try(besides the ds) COD3 and warioware would be crazy fun online. All I can say is wait until the summer, if they don't have it by then, then you can scream all you want.:D Oh yeah there is elebits which has online.

But I dont really care about online does that make me less of a gamer? Call me old school but I prefer to play games in the same room with people, much more than some stranger half way acorss the world. Online would be nice, but what would rather, to wait a few months for Nintendo to get it right, or for them to put out some buggy garbage that you all would come on here nonstop to whine about it ruining your game. Also when it does come it doesnt require all the bells and whistles of XBL. I dont need to know what games someone has played in the last week, or how many times they have won as Snake in SSBB. All I would desire is to go on put a whipping on someone and then be done with it, without any screw ups, like excessive lag or disconnections etc. You people that want them to rush thats all your going to get, and trust then you would see no online is better than bad online.
