You did the right thing.
Sure there is the possibilty you may never play it much at all, but I can, however, guarentee the mental anguish of regret should a good you desire come to exist.
I've always maintained the stance that selling a console is never, ever a good plan. You'll always inevitably sell it at a loss, and if there's any good game that comes up (which is a likelihood, given that pretty well every single console, even the guy in third place, scores a hit now and again), then you'll have to rebuy it. It's basically akin to liquidating your stocks just because the price dips. Just plain not smart investing.
It's not all about competing on Graphics - if it were we'd all have to get £2000 pcs and upgrade them every other month.
However, I've been seriously considering trading in my Wii+Wii Fit for a 360. I've yet to do so because my wife insists she prefers the Wii controlers over the 360s.
It's all down to personal choice really - I just hope that some of the games on the Wii that I want to be really good are - like Cursed Mountain, Day of Disaster, Mad World, The Conduit etc.
I also can't wait for World of Good to be released in the UK either.

Yeah-but the Wii is extremely limited on resources... I would be willing to pay an extra 50 bucks if Wii atleast tempted to beef up the graphical capabilites, and I imagine most of the world would have too... And no - u wouldnt have to spend 2000 every few months to upgrade ur PC. I just did a complete internal upgrad for 1200 and sportin the new DDR3 RAM MOBO. I should be good for a couple years. my graphics card for another year. PC gaming isnt that pricey.
It was an exageration of the point that graphics do not necessarily maketh the game. It was not a statement of fact - treating it as such isn't really necessary.
I agree that graphically the Wii is underpowered and despite protestations from Nintendo have yet to see anything on the Wii that the XBox couldn't do as well if not better. Some games are starting to get there COD:WaW seems to be quite busy on screen a lot of the time but sufferes from frame rate issues. However, if you look at something like Skate It, that doesn't look all that at all.
I'm interested to see what they do with Chop till you drop to see if it looks any good at all.Â
But really owning a Wii is all about the unique games and control methods, that's why I'm going to get Shaun White's as soon as I've mounted my TV on my wall at home.

If you're must sell you Wii atleast do yourself a favor and play world of goo, or get on steam. It's not all about competing on Graphics - if it were we'd all have to get £2000 pcs and upgrade them every other month.

you did the right thing by not selling it, you would have regretted it.... as for me i never trade in anything unless i really just don't like it.....
so tired of these threads.
sell it. don't sell it. i don't care.
there are plenty of reasons to own a Wii, and plenty of reasons to own one of the other systems, too.
Nintendo doesn't care if you sell it. You've already paid for it, and they can barely keep up with demand as it is.
So, throw your money away. It doesn't matter to me.
I'm more than happy with mine, and 2009 looks to be a great year for the Wii. Developers are finally figuring out how to use this system. And all the most creative ideas are coming to the Wii, because those that own it are more open to new ideas.
Maybe you should read the whole thread because I wasnt asking if I should sell it or not I was asking if anyone almost sold there Wii but decided against it.

maybe you should browse the Wii Forum a little more. You are not the first person to make a thread like this, and I doubt you'll be the last. You operate under the impression that people care that you aren't happy with the Wii. Quite frankly, I don't. So, that's what I wrote. Take it as you will.  Â
