Alone in the dark Wii review -- ONM -- The game 'is not finished'

"Over the past six months we've brought you various previews of this game and every time we've said the same thing: it has the potential to be absolutely stunning. All the elements are there: the amazing atmosphere, the mysterious storyline, the satisfaction when you figure out the puzzles (the game gives you little help and you have to figure out most things yourself), the fantastic implementation of the Wii controls (well, most of the time anyway... the vehicle controls are awful). As much as it pains us to say it though, these elements all fall by the wayside because Alone In The Dark simply isn't finished. It smacks of a game that's been rushed out the door to hit a deadline."

Im really disappointed, I was expecting big things from the title.

And the knowledge that the Xbox360 and PS3 versions ARE finished grates yet further. This game shouldn't be on the shelves in this state; it's as simple as that"Haziqonfire

the 360 version is getting bad reviews as well so I doubt it is finished, its rushed out like the Wii game.

By reading this, I say i'm gonna wait for user revies. The complaint seemes to be on 2 points alone and I'm a dude who has the ability to overlook flaws in a game and still enjoy it. That didn't seem a convincing review.vnc20100

Those 2 points are big flaws.

I think it is true that it is unfinished because I had bought it. Because of too many control ways being implimanted, it become a

big mess. As example, if you want to open your inventory, suddenly you just jump. Controlling a car is more tedious than fun. I

found out that to control a car easily, your nunchuk and wii-mote must be always parallel, only your body would move from side to

side like you are in a bobsled. Sometimes, there are glitches during game. I think RE4 is way better than this game. Atari

definitely had thrown away their chance to shine through this game. Rate : 4/10

But anyways, I'm very disappointed the game is doing poorly...It seemed like it would be great.

awww this game sounded like it could be so good!

and apparently the 360 controls are even worse than the wii ones

Gamespot is going to rip this game a new one that's how much it sux and I've played it.
