Is it just me or does every one use action replay but me. Please post whether you do or don't use one. I can tell you I will not use one of those I like to work my way to a goal not cheat my way to it.Will47
I dntuse one or have one, to much money for a 3 more pokemon(thats what i would use it for). those things are like $40, and i barely play pokemon now anyways. plus im able to beat all my ds game i have so i see no need for one right now.

20 bucks to be exact... but still, its a wastw. id rather buy picross ds, lost magic or brain age.
I never ever use them for something that can be done by normal means, or to give me a suped power that I shouldn't have. I use it for things such as get those pokemon you can't catch. Also I think a rule for people who do use them, is to never go online with them! I mean it's bad enough you cheat the cpu, but for people who don't use them it's not fun.dark_hero_riku
......well at least you don't use it online (I don't have wi-fi but I hear it makes people mad) don't cheat to much:D.
action replay is for noobs that cant play games* for real. If youre gonna cheat at something, at least just look up codes on the internet or something instead of wasting money on that POS
if you cant tell, i dont use AR, and hate it
*EDIT: Noobs that cant play games ONLINE. I still detest it in single player, but if nubs wanna use it and it doesnt interfere with my gaming, theres not much i can do about it
I have one, use it all the time. I use it online because tis fun to see people b***h about it =P
I also use it just for goofing around, but I never use it on my games until I beat them.
CHEATING FTW
Never have, never will.As I keep getting more experience with video gaming in general, I've realized that the fun that comes with it comes from the satisfaction of beating it fair and square. When I beat Metroid Prime after many frustrating attempts to get to the giant Metroid at full health (I hate that room where you jump across those mushrooms), I finally beat it; and you know what, I was proud of myself. I was proud of myself for beating a game that was quite a challenge. It makes you want to come back for more.
Using Action Replay, in my opinion, is a showdown between two people - one of them holding a pocket knife while the other has a giant rocket launcher. After the guy with the rocket launcher forces his opponent into a defeated position, he then promptly places his foot on his opponent's chest and laughs.
This is my opinion, I would rather beat someone fair-and-square in a knife fight than to have such an unfair advantage.
I had GameShark for the N64 a long time ago, but I never got the same satisfaction of beating a video game fair and square.

I Agree With the Online Part But Cheating On Single Player Games Is Fun. I Don't Have One But I Want One For Super Mario 64 DS and Metroid Prime Hunters
I am embarassed to say that I have one, and I have used it, but like others before me in this thread, I have never used it in a way that helps me beat a game, since that just makes the finish so unfulfilling. Actually, I think I have only used it two times so far: once for getting a Metroid in AC:WW (don't hurt me, I love the look of the thing and trading for it online would most likely involve getting a "hacked" one anyway), and once for screwing around in NSMB after COMPLETELY finishing it. There was some guilty pleasure in being able to hold down "A" and have Mario keep on rising into the sky.
So yeah, I guess I have one, but I would hate to be grouped with those that bought them for real cheating. I am probably as against cheating to beat a game as most of you are. The only thing that I dislike more in gaming are those silly event only items/unlockables. I swear, if Nintendo could just quit with the "real-life event only" stuff, AR sales would be halved. It's silly really, and does nothing to enhance the games. I'd much rather have events or dates where certain things could be obtained over Wi-Fi.
Oh jeez, I've gotten off topic. Please forgive me.
At the riskof sounding ignorant, what is an action replay lol?shan1177
if u remember game sharks from back then there a lot like that
I do not use AR. It's dishonest and cheating.nintendofreak_2
Ha, you guys do realize these are video games. Online, I can understand a little because its competitive. But on single player, who cares if someone uses it. If it helps them enjoy the game more then go for it. Video games are a form of entertainment and not real life. "Dishonest and cheating"
By the way, I don't use one. Didn't even know what they were until this thread. Might look into them though.
I don't care if they use it offline, but then they might be tempted to use it online because they're used to it. And you laugh at me and you didn't even know what an AR was?Ha, you guys do realize these are video games. Online, I can understand a little because its competitive. If you like cheating to beat a game, go ahead.... I don't however. Play the game the way it was meant to be played.
