Am I better off getting a brand new GCN memory card?

I formatted all the memory on my GameCube memory card that I use on my Wii since it was corrupted. I played a GC game on it after that and it still told me it's corrupted. I bought it used at EB Games and it's white and has Nintendo's logo on it. Does that make it a first-party memory card, which I hear are more reliable?

Should I buy another one used, get this one repaired, or buy a new one off the internet?

If you can find a decent first-party Gamecube memory card for a good price, I would say get that. You can also just get a 2GB first-party Wii SD card for about ten dollars at various shops.

You can't save Gamecube data to a SD Card; you must use a Gamecube memory card. I suggest you buy a new one, they aren't too expensive. Make sure that it's first party, though. They're usually the most reliable.

Can a Wii SD card save Gamecube games?

No, I already said that SD cards do not support Gamecube saves.
