sounds like the fighting is pretty cool, but i'm not really a fan of the stylistic gore. ign only gave it a 7.8, but it's doing pretty well by other reviewers.
i'm on the fence, but i'm leaning towards saving some money for something else.
I'm not going to get it since I'm not a fan at all of this genre.
However, I think it should be supported by the fans of violent games. I know for sure there's many people who want a real "mature" game. If people want to see a gory game on Wii, go buy this.
I think the game looks great. I usually don't go for this type of game. But the art style and just overall, I have gotten quite excited for it. I am picking it up sometime this week.
And I hope that plenty others pick it up too, so it gets greats sales to show 3rd party developers that Wii games want and will buy more serious games and not just party games and Nintendo franchises. So, i am happy to try something new, and give my support.
it really shouldnt be about giving support about the game it should be about you and if you like it buy it if not dont it might not make a diffrence even if it sells well because really the majority of people who use the wii are youner and whose parents wont let them play NMH.So, i am happy to try something new, and give my support.

Well, I am getting it cause I have genuine interest in the game itself.
But I can't see why you wouldn't think sales of a third party game like this wouldn't have an overall effect on the Wii and developers. If it sells well, its kind of like a beacon of hope. If it doesn't sell well, its another foreshadow of the Wii's future. I don't care if the majority is younger or not - which I think the Wii has a much larger span of an audience than just little kids anyways. But I would like to see third parties feel like they can put games on the Wii that are more than just party games. So, there is an aspect of support that is real. I hope that it is not hopeless as you would believe.
No More Heroes is awfully short, and the experience can be replicated by playing Godfather and Warioware for an afternoon. I don't blame you for not wanting it, because this game certainly has to fall back to gaming convention to even be entertaining for more than sheer gaming enthusiasts.
But I have been psyched for it since I saw the original trailer, and for the longest time i thought that this game was going to be like what Shenmune was for the Dreamcast . Thats what i think a lot of enthusiasts feel about it too, which is why we exploded the forums a few days ago in a last-ditch effort to get everyone to notice. Sorry you didn't like the hype-machine, but i guess Kevin VanOrd's career is accidentally becoming focused around games that cause more hype, I'm just glad he found one he finally liked.
no u ain't the only one not getting this **** I don't want it either, I never knew this game existed until a week ago were I heard Brawl got delayed to help out the sales of this garbage.Cesar4500
So you're gonna call a AAA game that you've never played garbage? That borders on stupidity or blind fanboyism. And yes, I am getting it.

That's why I'm starting to think that using 0.5 in scores, like here in Gamespot is actually more sensible. If IGN used it it would have gotten an 8.0, this whole 0.1 or 0.2 seems kind of small and petty.
Goddamn you people... you whine and whine and whine for a good 3rd party game and now we HAVE one and you piss all over it.
way to send the message that 3rd parties shouldn't develope for Wii.

i'm pretty sure i've never whined about that topic before. i'm also pretty sure i don't give a **** about who develops a game. i'll buy it if i think it looks good, and i don't like the look of this one. get over it.

Well, maybe you should start caring because third party support for Nintendo consoles has been piss poor eversince the N64 and with good reason seeing as most people will buy first party games on Nintendo systems rather than 3rd party. My point is, is that not too long ago people were whining and moaning how there are "No good 3rd party games, why don't developers stop trying to cash in on the Wii with crap games" and now someone actually put the time into making a great game.
My main frustration is that if Nintendo does not have enough 3rd parties willing to make honest to god games for them then get ready for years and years of Wii sports and Cooking Mama. That's all.

Why care? If you want 3rd party titles you should have picked up a 360 or a PS3. Me and alot of other people bought this console for the classic franchises such as Mario and Zelda. I am getting so pissed at people trying to force others to buy games such as Zack & Wiki or NMH. Let everyone buy whatever they want.
meh, looks alright, but i feel like playing this game would bring me a huge step down in my maturaity level....if i was 17 again i would tottaly buy this game.. but i'm not, so i'm just going to buy endless ocean, i've been hearing many good things about this game.lypur
Are you serious??? This game isint immature. Its a funny and entertaing action game with a great script.

Not everyone feels that way. I bought the wii for a new gameplay experiance and I saw that some 3rd parties cared about the wii so I thought they would make great games for it. My collection has alot of 3rd party games. WHen it comes to games made by nintendo all I care about is zelda, smash and metroid.
