Well for someone who played Mario Superstar Baseball as one of my main (if not my main game) on the gamecube I was a little disappionted.
Sure there are more characters, a better story mode, more stadiums, being able to pick certain characters twice, and different captain specials but some of the best parts of Superstar were taken out in Sluggers.
FIRST: The fielding is somewhat crappy. (opinion)
SECOND: Sometimes the character swing to late or to early. (fact)
THIRD: Getting star characters is to easy, part of the fun for me in Superstar was trying to get star characters, now in Sluggers I got everyone as a star player in 2 days. (fact)
FOURTH: They put to many cheap things in the game like the abilities to still homeruns, items, the buddy quick throw, and some of the stadiums. (fact)
FIFTH: A lot of the captains specials suck. The only one whos special hit is impossible to get out is Daisy's (and mabye DK's) and the only characters whose specials are ones that are REALLY good are Daisy's and DK's because if you hit them there pretty much automatic outs. So the captains specials are very unbalanced. (fact)
SIXTH: Is the chemestry. Some character have chemistry with a lot of characters while some only have chemistry with one. So thats very unbalanced. (fact)
FINALLY: Is the pitching camera. I think its fine, but not as good as Superstar. (opinion)
Dont get me wrong, I like the game I would Sluggers a 8 but I would give Superstar a 9 so its disappionting it see it not as good as it could be.
