1) Europe gets the 3DS 2 days before North America. Why can't they just release it everywhere on the same day?!
2) They are making us wait until the very last possible Sunday in March to release it!

I don't think it really matters. Two days really isn't a difference unless you really really want a 3DS. It sucks that most of us have to wait a month while Japan gets to enjoy the 3DS.
stop complaining you could be getting it at our damn price which is like 70-100 $ more than what NA are paying :x

Yea for real, two days is nothing at all in the grand scheme of things, and unless you live in europe its not like you will see it everywhere before you can get it.
Yeah, I'm glad about that. But I don't understand why they can't just make it cost close to the same everywhere!Well, Europe is paying $110 more than the US price. America gets the cheapest price!

because europe gets the short end of the stick every time something new from japan is released, they left the pricing up to the retailers over here which will make them very expensive to buy wheras they should have given a msrp like they did with NA
[QUOTE="LoserMike"]Yeah, I'm glad about that. But I don't understand why they can't just make it cost close to the same everywhere! Higher business taxes, import costs, cost of living expenses, expectations, etc. Europeans and Japanese usually pay more for videogames. It's been that way forever. We're complaining that 3DS games may cost up to $50 while in Japan they're paying up to $70 and in Europe they'll pay up to $60.Well, Europe is paying $110 more than the US price. Yea its odd that it comes out in the most important region last, but its only 2 days and we can throw Europe a bone coz they get screwed on not only the price, but on localizations and game releases (they still don't have Epic Yarn) So 2 days late isn't that bad
I just don't know how Nintendo thinks they can sell 2.5 million in 5 days
Not even the Wii, DS, DSi did that at launch, and I doubt the 3DS will, so I expect them to lower that "2.5 million in NA/EU by March 31st" goal substantially

What Nintendo cares nothing about NA and Europe compared to Japan, absolutly nothing. Its like saying Ford of Canada is more important then Ford of America
The only words to describe how greedy you sound I unfortunately cannot say due to this forums rules. I mean you got the Nintendo Wii a month before Europe, and the original DS 4 months before Europe. But no yeah it's really unfair that you get the 3DS 2 days after Europe, and that you have to pay $100 less than us,1) Europe gets the 3DS 2 days before North America. Why can't they just release it everywhere on the same day?!
2) They are making us wait until the very last possible Sunday in March to release it!

No, I am paying $366 in the UK. I don't see that as fair. Making up for the cheap ass US price. ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1) Europe gets the 3DS 2 days before North America. Why can't they just release it everywhere on the same day?!

Aw poor diddums US didn't get it first.. to be fair tho US always get their stuff cheaper than other countries ...wish the countries in Europe and Asia would rally together and stop US butt kissing.

Lets see what North America has gotten before Europe;
XBox 360: NA - Nov 22 2005, EU - Dec 2 2005
PS3: NA - Nov 17 2006, EU - Mar 23 2007
PSP: NA - Mar 24 2005, EU - Sep 1 2005
Wii: NA - Nov 19 2006, EU - Dec 8 2006
DS: NA - Nov 21 2004, EU - Mar 11 2005
And thats just this gen... so yeah I can see why you would say it's unfair

dont forget that we pay anywhere from 50% to 100% more than what americans pay
The problem with a good majority of Americans is that they think the world revolves around them, it doesn't. The ignorance is staggering. Just show a little compassion, that's all.
Its still not good enough you get every single game in existents before us, its still not good enough you get it half price of what we pay. I know there are places like Australia, South Africa, Brazil etc that also get it bad.
I personally have zero interest in 3ds, and I don't get why people wont just pick up a ps3, 360 or even a wii instead, especially at those insane prices.
Boy, Americans really are impatient cheapskates. Wait, what does that make me?
Forget the two days to wait after the European release, it's the month after Japan I'm most dredding. Although on the bright side, at least that'll be a full month of new video content to wave through online... Ugh, it's gonna suck.

Of course NA is the most important region, most potential sales, biggest emerging market, and more lifetime sales
Compare how much their consoles sell in NA and in Japan, or even in EU and Japan, and you'll see why it makes no sense to give the smallest nation, with the smallest potential userbase, preferential treatment
Of course they do treat JP better some times, but doesn't mean they should
Sure Japan gets it a month early, but where it counts is price and they are paying $50 more than Americans, and we all know how screwed europeans are on price, NA got the lowest price (AU price is going to be crazy)
When Nintendo consoles fail to be # 1 its because they don't sell enough in NA. There is a much smaller cap on potential lifetime sales in Japan than in NA. I mean the DS is approaching 50 million NA units lifetime, Japan can never hope to accomplish this, therefore they can never hope to support Nintendo as business.
It shows. Nintendo gave the most important region the best price, because its most important it sells extremely well in NA, we get it late, thats cool with me and they likley did it March 27th due to DS platform coming off what, 2.5 million holiday sales in December? They only release stuff in Japan first because there are more people to milk in NA, therefore more money to be had.
2 days isn't much to complain about. I'd happily see ours delayed by a month if we could swap prices with the US. There's always a certain amount of bitterness about the difference in price, same happened with the Wii. On the other hand, some countries have it far worse than Europe.
Honestly, I wouldn't have complained too much about £230 as many places were suggesting it might be as high as £250 or even up to £300, but after seeing the twitter feed from NOA saying the US price I was hopeful it'd be less than £200 here (still allowing for the fact we always pay more). Even with the higher prices we pay for games, and allowing for whatever tax goes on top of that $250 USD that's a good two games worth in price difference. Assuming the online site I preordered with doesn't renege on the deal, I should get mine bundled with Monkey Ball (which I would have seriously considered getting anyway) for about £220 though, and there might be other deals available over the next couple of months.
There was an article on Kotaku I saw that complained about the American price being too high. I think everyone from countries that have to pay more (ie just about everyone outside North America) wanted to slap the author when they saw it. :-P
