From the games that I played (besides Zelda and WarioWare, of course), the ones that make a better use of the Wii remote unique features, are: "Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition"; and "Super Mario Galaxy".

But I haven't played "Metroid Prime 3", "Zack and Wicki", "Medal of Honor Heroes 2", "Mercury Meltdown Revolution" or "No More Heroes", and those games also seem to use very well the Wii remote.

[EDIT]: If you like soccer games, the Wii version of "Pro Evolution Soccer 2008" also seems to use very well the Wii remote.

There is more as people have described. These are the ones I liked the most and had the most dramatic change from tradition gamepad controls (or at least experience via different control schemes) IMO.

Trauma center shows that the IR is useful and can get absolutely NO 'waggle' comments seeming there are no motion controls (other than to put the pads on, and a stick pull on the bomb level - hardly waggle). Same with MMR. Very tight controls, always responsive and works great all of the time. But you have to like puzzle games and not be afraid of crappy screenshots (the graphics look fine in fluid motion though).

Lots of people will say Z&W. and at 8.99 or so (see other thread) maybe you should try that out too. But honestly I didn't think it was that great and I 'swore' as the controls a couple of times for not doing what I wanted them to do. Rayman had similar problems, while still fun. To be really blunt though, after Wii sports wore off a bit, I'm yet to see a game redefine game control like it did. And it's disappointing that what the Wii has for strengths gets ignored so much. Trauma Center comes close... but it wasn't a 'get up and move' type experience like Wii sports.

i do agree about zw. before i played the game (i should have read a review first. but would have bought it anyway) i heard a ton of hype ststing how amazing the controls were. when i actually picked up the game i realized that they werent all that.

i tested some gesters out and a found that while some have to be very specific, such as tipping a glass or bottle, others can be performed by just waggle, like the centisaw. i also didnt like the IR in the game either. at times it will pick up on objects, ither times it wouldnt. also the IR was TERRIBLE in the last stage. it was a hell of a lot more frustrating that fun.
