 It wasn't always like that.  The Super Nintendo also had "adult" games like MK II, Doom, SF II Turbo, Castlevania, etc.  It wasn't until the GameCube that they've gone "kiddie."

Nintendo is not meant to be "kiddie" I dont think its that kiddie

Most people probably think its kiddie because of their characters, so i would try putting those main characters like luigi, mario, kirby etc. in slightly more violent games.

theyre begining to lose it, kinda imo.

wii is still a family console that everyone loves, which will prevent them from ever losing it, but its also what nintendo is aiming for,

but they are losing it, trauma center is about surgery, the godfather and splinter cell are out, there are also games like resident evil (both of them), no more heroes, and sadness on the radar. if i missed any rated m or adult games, its bc i dont care about the "kiddie" image bc whther or not the games are good is all that matters/

Nintendo could make [adult swim] games like ATHF, Bleach(a different one), FMA, Eureka seveN, Inuyasha, Family Guy(a new one), Futurama, Tom Goes to the Mayer, Tim and Eric awsome show, etc. I would buy all those games and i am sure they would be rated T and some M. MavsFan2007

Because RE4 and all of the other Resident Evil games that were brought to the cube were reaaally kiddie. The Metroid games were 2 of the best games on the system and although they weren't rated M and didnt have exploding blood, were not "kiddie."

This whole topic is only brought up because games like Animal Crossing, Pikmin, and Zelda's Wind Waker, games that were very fun to play, had an art direction that imature people did not like.

If anything it was a lack of multiplayer and the inability of these imature people to talk trash in an online gaming forum that got the cube a kiddie image.

Nintendo putting Adult Swim will go from Kiddie to Kiddie that stays up late. That is a very retarded decision. That's making Teletubbies into Power Rangers. EVERYONE is griping about the games that are out now. It's not that far out until we get SSBB and different games for it. Why don't you just keep your opinion to yourself and wait 6 months.

XBOX360 didn't get it's hit games at Launch.

Why should Nintendo lose the 'Kiddie' image when, in this new generation, it can actually be a huge benefit for them?  Your average little kid and their parents for that matter, isn't going spend $400+ to play the latest Pixar/Disney game.  This is where the Wii can benefit a lot.

Ideally, what Nintendo should try to do is achieve a balance in their game library between the 'Kiddie' and 'Mature' games.

They're not gripping about titles that are out now, if anything this is somewhat of a "joke thread" or "hypothetical thread." If he was saying "wii sucks there are no games" i would agree with you, but thats not what the thread is about.

One possible way to get rid of it is if someone made a "hot coffee" mod for animal crossing, thus making the government all "OMG SEX IN GAMES NINTENDO AINT KIDDY ANYMORE LOLOLOL!"

I dont think getting Family Guy on the wii would shake the kiddy image.

Simpsons Hit and run and Simpsons Road Rage were on the GC, and they didnt exactly help.
