Oooh so close to it almost being a new game. Most magazines finish up at least a week or 2 before they come out, so at that time HoTD was still an unknown game. Shame it got announced like a day before the mag came out.

My mom and I....ended our subscription recently....after like....11 years....we stopped subscribing :(.

There was no clue. They just said that it was a game that didn't quite make it to E3. Though the game was just recently announced instead of like the beginning of the month. So technically their material was unheard of at the time they shipped the magazines.
The game was announced 1 day before the magazine was revealed, the magazine is written and done with, and begins printing a good week(or two) before they release it to the public in any way. The game was new when they wrote the hint last issue, it was new when they wrote the article in this issue, and they were extremely close to revealing another new game. Not to mention everything else they have announced in the last few issues.

The point is not so much that they were beaten to the proverbial punch, but that all the hype was for what is ultimately not a very impressive game.
lol am I the only one that's happy? Firstly, I'd never get my hopes up for Nintendo ever again. Too much disappointment. Secondly, I'm happy we're getting another light-gun shooter. I don't like the ones already on the market and the sick part is that I've been dying to buy a light gun attatchment for my Wii. The game's style also looks very cool. I've always been into that style since I saw those Grindhouse movies.
And the reviews are usually un-biased to me. They rate all the shovelware low, and all the mediocre games mediocre

7.0? That's not that high, it's like average. And Nintendo Power has fans of each genre to review games, and they have a Sonic fan in their crew so you have to read that review with that in mind. And if you hate Sonic then you shouldn't read the reviews for Sonic games anyways.
i am this close to rioting on nintendo headquarters if one more "surprise" turns out to be a half @ss attempt at a game, we shall storm japan and kidnap miyamoto and keep him in an underground layer and force him to make only zelda mario and metriod games
