i am a die hard animal crossing fan so im going to be buying city folk regardless but.. i am wondering if there will be: new items/furniture? new bugs+fish? ds connectivity? other noticeable differences? i just wanna know if they attempted to make any changes instead of creating a port i have both animal crossing for the gamecube and ds to anyone who owns all three, did you think it was worth it?

i am wondering if there will be:
new items/furniture? Some, but very little.
new bugs+fish? Same as above
ds connectivity? When you start the game, you can use your DS Character, only the look though.  That's it.
other noticeable differences? The City, thats about it
i just wanna know if they attempted to make any changes instead of creating a port: A port?  You mean the city?

Overall it's a really good game, but not that much of a change from WW.

I'm pretty sure he means a port of the ds version. Anyway, there's basically more items, a city, and transferring your ds character and catalog.

Only one town. No memory cards like the Cube version. So you are going to plant a bunch of foreign fruit trees and wait for them to grow. You will leave for a while and your brother will come play the game, time travel, pick the fruit, and sell them. It blows. ...I also believe the houses you live in will be like the Cube version houses i.e. no multiple rooms. :(

unfortunately not.

my girlfriend and i share a town, and it's fine, as long as we're considerate of each other. i try to leave her fossils/clothing/furniture if I play first, and she does the same for me.

but having an SD card option would be nice. that way you could create a new town, get a fruit type you don't have, delete the town, and repeat.

you could always get two Wiis... :)

There's very little different things in City Folk, only good for the Wii Speak Mic. Yeah you could call it an "enhanced port" it hardly has enough going for it and you'll get bored after you realize that you've been collecting the same items in City Folk as you have been in the other games. This is one game that I would only suggest you buy if you have lots of friends, artistic abilitys, and lots of free time. There you go.
