Well I saw some gameplay of this game and it looks pretty much the same. I wish there was some sort of theme to it that differed from each game. I would have thought some sort of Island hopping would be a fun adition to the game and would have liked to see public places. When I say public places I mean things like the zoo or the movies where you can go there and talk to other random people that are on Animal Crossing. It would make the game even more social. Overall it justs looks like another Animal Crossing game, nothing new which is what I was looking for.

Any of you guys think the same thing?

Going to the movies would be a great ideea, you would see your movies on your SD card in your cinema. Go to concerts and listen to the music on your SD cards.

I hope they add these features, although it's very unlikely.

It looks like the GCN game with a slightly improved version of the DS's online. In other words, crap.

What would be great is if there were different realms each containing one big environment (each environment have 1 of the 4 seasons) allowing you to sell furniture, head gear, designs, foriegn fruit, etc for bells. Each realm would have about 100+ people playing in them so it is much more interactive. But hey Wii Speak is a definite sign of many good things to come to the young series.

Honestly. The GC Animal Crossing with online = win for me. In the GC version I couldn't help but say over and over again, "This would be fun...if it was online."

I love all the random stuff in AC though. Like when a town member would ask you to rename them. I named one AssCactus one time and you can only imagine how hilarious his sentances sounded when he spoke. Just little moments like that and the creative freedom that make the game worth it.

I've never really understood games like Animal Crossing, the Sims, Second Life, etc.

the whole point of games is to live out some sort of fantasy and the only difference between Animal Crossing and real life is less responsibility and you can talk to animals. Games like this don't interest me much anyway so I never really intended to get it (because its not packaged with wii speak) but yeah all the animal crossing games feel rather samey

I've never understood games like this either. What is the point of these games anyways? Do you live out these little characters' lives? Do they have goals to reach, or do you just randomly roam around for no reason?

If you can just roam around, I would go online and destroy/be a theif. Everyone would hate me, and I would go by the name of "Bonapetite the Theif" ¿

Same thing with your life. What do you get out of it? What are you trying to achieve? That's the point of this game just so it lasts a while and is very fun.

You do have goals in real life. Several examples, get X grade or higher in X class. Become a ______ when you grow up. Marry _________. Make X dollars. Get promoted. etc.

thats not the game. Thats real life buddy. The game has goals like "catch this fish" but its not like an actual goal made for you by the game its something you just decide to go off and do.

so you basically decide to do something...and just do it?

Kinda sounds boring to me. I'm sure there are tons of you who like these kind of games, but I would just rather go "catch this fish" in real life and have a few beers.

just strange to me....

How is there nothing new? There is auction mode where you can buy items up for sale by other players. There are new animals, visual styles, voice chat, more furniture, a better clothes custonmizer where you can customize shoulders, new clothes, a new area called The Town where there are new shops and a all new movie theatre and happy room academy room, and probably more holidays. There are definately new things.

Well the thing that just doesn't satisfy me is that it's the same exact town. Trees and green. I would have liked to see a new style to it.
