Has anyone else here stopped playing Animal Crossing: Wild World because it becomes such a chore after so long? >_> Granted I loved the game, it was definitely the best DS game I had before I found it to be a pain in my daily schedule. But yeah, I've left it a couple of times and I should probably just sell it already, it's not worth it.

Anyone else feel the same way about the game?

im keeping it, until Animal Crossing Wii comes out, maybe there will be inter-connectivity? If there is, my house is fully upgraded and the town was perfect... though after not playing for like 10 months.. probably not anymore :)

When I first got it I played nearly every day for about 3 weeks. I paid off my house twice, I was becoming good friends with the townsfolk, I was ignoring the insurance otter, I was completing dinosaurs and catching record fish. . . everything. I haven't played it for two weeks, mostly because when I think about playing it I think of all the weeds I'd have to pull, all the friendships I'd have to reforge and all the people who may have moved away/moved to my town. It's a great game, but really is a bit of a chore after awhile.

Even still, I enjoy walking around and fishing every so often, plus I'd really like to pay off my house once more, so I will probably pick it back up in the next week. I could never sell it, because that is the time I will have a craving to play it *^_^*

Ive never played the ds version, but I played the gamecube version non stop one summer. It is so addictive, but it really does become a chore after a while. Once I got a life *haha* i really couldnt find time to play it, and when i did get to play it I usually had to spend the whole time cleaning up messes that piles up while I wasnt playing. So I really got burnt out on it after that, which is sad because I really loved that game.

Yeah, I can understand how it'd get tiring quickly.

When you are first introduced to it and everything is new and fun it's great to play, but then you just basically begin to play it more as a routine. The reason I would play it everyday was because I was adamant about paying off my house. . . and then I had no choice but to get a bigger one, which I again paid off. . . then a bigger one was built! Eventually I got tired of just buying and selling things. So if someone doesn't like that part of the game to begin with it'd get old fast. *^_^*

Haha, I guess so! I just really wanted to pay it all off, then he practically FORCED me to buy a bigger home! I was rather happy with the one I had, but nooo. Everyone in town kept commenting on how small it was like it was their business, so I had to upgrade. . . stupid racoon ;)

I got AW for the DS when it came out and I played it non stop for a few weeks but after upgrading my house and realizing that I had another 400 000 to pay off... Though, I did start playing it again during the winter because I really liked the Snowman set.

I'm only missing the last house upgrade but I'm bored with it right now. I will get back to it eventually. There is only so much to do. After you've seen everything and were at it for a long time, you lose interest. I'm waiting for the Wii release which will hopefully have tons of new content!

Yeah, I ended up bailing out on this because it's too much of a time investment. I played the heck out of the Gamecube one, but I didn't want to fire up the DS every day to pull weeds so I traded it in.

It's great to play the game during summer. I have the game but I'm busy playing games that actually have an ending :P When I start picking it up again, and school comes around, I suppose I'll just boot it up during the weekends. Also, it reminds me of Nintendogs. But I actually tend to take care more of the dogs than visit my town, because taking care of the dog takes about 30 minutes a day. A lot shorter than taking care of a whole town.

I haven't played at all recently. AC is definitely my Summer game, and I'll probably play every day over Summer Break.

I have stopped playing it definately is a game for when all the other games seem old so when I haven't gotten a new game in a while I play animal crossing. And I play a lot.

It is more of a back up game and is fun because of it. If you are thinking about trading it in just wait a little longer you will be bord and you remember you have animal crossing. You will probably play it for a while after that.

I found it fun at first, then turned into a chore to continue playing as it was almost the same repetitive motions over and over. From time to time, I like to pick the game up but it gets boring quickly after that. I will wait to see if AC for the Wii will have some kind of inter-connectivity to see if I hold onto the game or chuck it.

I traded in my copy to help pre-order mario kart for the wii. The lack of voice chat and not much downloadable content just couldn't keep me playing it forever.

it's been about a month since i last played. worked so friggin hard and finally payed the 950,000 bells for the last upgrade and after that realized that there wasn't much else to do. but i still get a kick outta showing my boss house and nookington off to people online and still need to complete my robo-furniture collection so i got reasons not to sell it. but if you're truly bored of it than there's no point in keeping it. i just CAN'T sell it cuz i put so much blood sweat and tears into mine.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who did that! The most enjoyable part of the game for me was digging up the fossils, so if I missed a day I'd set the clock back to get them, then put it back to get the next day's fossils. . . Also, if the store wasn't open but I caught a huge fish which filled my item bag I'd change it so I could sell the fish, get more money and keep fishing. It's cheating, I know. . . but I like the power of being able to alter time.

Did anyone else ever turn the game off without saving? I did once when the otter was talking to me about insurance, and when I came back a very angry mole appeared and yelled at me for not saving. It was hilarious, but he went on forever!

I thought I'd like it since I enjoyed the Harvest Moon games, but it turned out to be too much of a bore.

I traded it for Phoenix Wright 3 a week after I got it
