What I want to know is why no one ever has their gate open. I mean, is it just my friends? Or do people really have a life and aren't on Animal Crossing all of the time? Or am I just on at the wrong times?

And what is that shop in the city that is boarded up? It is driving me insane.

Can you still do chores for the townspeople? Or not? If not, then that stinks. because that was fun.

and I'm sure that there was already a thread someone out there similar to this, but I really don't care. :D

i just think you have to talk to the guards, and if one of your friends has their gate open then you can go in.

Also you cant tell the guards to open your gate so one of your friends can come in.

the more you do for your neighbours, the more your "friendship" with them builds up. and the higher that is, the more likely you'll get chores, etc.

basically, try to make them happy whenever you can and you're interactions with them will get more involved.

i do miss how with the GC version i could literally run errands for hours on end. they seem to have less chores in City Folk.

Well...I got to find a goldfish for Spork and I'm searching for a centipede for someone else....there's occassional little things like that but nothing too much to do for people.

What I want to know is about the fruit thing... (I'm new to AC and don't do a lot of games in general...but this one (and little big planet) have me hooked) So how come so many people have different native fruits??? How is that determined???

That's the only chores you can get? I denied the centipede thing because I didn't know where I would find one... Yeah, I used to just run around doing chores for the animals for the GC version. It was fun and helped with making money if you sold what you earned.. [QUOTE="gossamer1971"]

Your fruit is randomly determined when you start up a town. You can make your fellow town mates happy for some different fruits, or go to different towns...if you go to different towns then bring them back and plant them so you can have your own.
