hi im new to all this ive just set my animal crossing up on the wi-fi and was wondering if anyone could tel me how you vist other peoples town please?

Did you check the manual?

Anyway, go to:

Menu>Heart tab>Register

Have your friend add your FC, then you'll be able to visit each other's towns.
